Is MTV about to pull the plug?
Over the years, MTV has raked in some serious cash from Teen Mom and its spinoffs. But there’s one thing the show can’t exist without: its stars. Eventually, the cast will outgrow their Teen Mom stardom, and Middle Aged Mom just doesn’t sound the same. However, no one expected a full-franchise cancellation to come about so soon.
Without a cast, MTV can’t do much — and yet its cast seems to be dropping like flies! With people quitting, being fired, and outgrowing the show, MTV’s supply of moms is dwindling. Now, yet another mom is discussing the possibility of quitting the show. Are we about to see the end of Teen Mom?
Within a month, MTV lost two major stars. With David Eason and Farrah Abraham both fired, a great deal of the show’s focus has been shifted. Of course, the shows can still go on without these two stars, but as more cast members discuss alternatives to the show, it’s starting to look grim.
Although Kailyn Lowry has yet to leave the show, she’s just launched a fallback show in case Teen Mom falls through. Even Leah Messer has revealed she has a new fallback project in the works!
Will she stay or will she go?
With the cast taking such a serious hit, fans have wondered what the future of Teen Mom holds. The newest addition to the Teen Mom OG cast has already been revealed, but the Teen Mom 2 cast may be taking another hit. Now the newest member, Briana DeJesus, has spoken out with her thoughts on leaving the show.
Even though some fans thought she’d be the first to go, Briana revealed the opposite. “I am not going anywhere,” she told Blasting News. She continued:
“Sorry to disappoint my haters, but that’s not happening. I plan to be around for as long as MTV will have me, my family, and our story, and as of right now, that’s all moving in a positive direction. So, no, I’m not quitting Teen Mom 2 nor am I leaving. You’ll be seeing me soon!”
This isn’t the only thing Briana is giving the scoop on. She’s also spilling an update on her relationship with Javi Marroquin.
