Getting off baby weight can be hard, even for a teen mom. But this star has dropped the pounds after giving birth! She just posted shocking pics of her post-baby bod and revealed how she did it!
Teen Mom: Young and Pregnant is the newest addition to the Teen Mom franchise. It follows five teenagers on their journeys through pregnancy and motherhood. Ashley Jones has been the series’ breakout star.
Ashley has one daughter with her on-again, off-again boyfriend, Bar Smith. She gave birth to her daughter Holly on September 16th, 2017. Holly was 7.10 lbs. Recently, Ashley posted a shocking Instagram before and after photo of her incredible weight loss journey!
She shared yesterday on Instagram:
"The picture on the right was taken January 22 , the picture on the left was taken 4 days ago…hard work my friends . No surgery , no cool sculpting. I’m 21 y’all , lol the bounce back is vicious…by the way this post is only to show my journey and offer inspiration to those who feel like they are having trouble reaching their goal ! You can get there mama…I am VERY proud of myself and all negative comments will be deleted and don’t tell me about being revealing ok . I’m the least of instagrams community worries."
Though Ashley is staying away from surgery and cool sculpting, she did have a little extra help losing the weight. On May 29th, she posted an Instagram reading: “So I decided to get ahead start on toning up my body for summer, and turned to @flattummyco for a little help.”
Her post continued, “I’ve used their Shake program before, and I really liked my results, so I’m thinking this is just what I need to get back to looking my best. They’re packed with 20 grams of plant based protein, 22 vitamins and minerals, and more than 50 fruits and veggies - so pretty much exactly what I need to be fueling my body with.”

Packed with proteins, vitamins and minerals, it works to help you kick those cravings, control your appetite and move some of those stubborn lbs. Plus, it's 3x more effective than diet and exercise alone with clinically studied Super Citrimax®”
Fellow Teen Moms Farrah Abraham and Jenelle Evans have come under fire for advertising Flat Tummy Co. products. Farrah’s product of choice? Their lollipops.
According to the Flat Tummy Co. website, the incredibly popular on Instagram “Appetite Suppressant Lollipops contain an active ingredient called Satiereal, which is a clinically proven safe active ingredient extracted from natural plants."
The company continues, “This active ingredient works to maximize satiety (which helps control food intake, cravings and weight).” Flat Tummy Co assures, “If you snack on them when you're feeling hungry, it'll suppress your appetite for a few hours!” It also brags, “our lollipops are freaking delicious…only 35 calories…totally guilt free!”
In 2015, Kailyn Lowry posted about their Flat Tummy Tea on her Instagram. However, it’s just one of the many weight loss strategies that she has tried.
Kailyn has also turned to plastic surgery in the past. Like other Teen Moms, Kailyn has been worked on by celebrity plastic surgeon Dr. Miami. In addition to a Brazilian butt lift, she had lip injections and facial procedures.
Kailyn opened up about her relationship with her body in her memoir, Hustle and Heart. “For years I struggled with eating disorders, and I was extremely self-conscious about my weight,” she wrote.
Her book continues: “I’d committed so thoroughly to working out and maintaining a healthy diet, but it was clear there was only so much I could do to change the shape of my body.”
Unlike many other stars, Kailyn has been perfectly open about her cosmetic procedures. “My decision to get plastic surgery came down to one simple thing: I’m human,” she said in Hustle and Heart. “I care how I look. I knew that being satisfied with my outer appearance would give me the confidence I needed to face the world head on. For me, the things that I wanted to change about my body were nagging little distractions from the deeper missions I wanted to work on.”
However, it seems like she decided to bounce from Baby Lo’s birth through a less invasive method.
She posted on Instagram in the fall about her routine: “Now that Baby Lo is here I started #Waisttraining again w/ @Colombianwaist to get my pre baby body back I am currently wearing mine 4-5 hrs daily then I will gradually increase to 8 hrs daily. So far I have been seeing great results. It takes consistency!”
Not all of her fans were convinced that this was a good method, or a healthy message to put out to her fans.
Reddit user dianalane01 wrote, “watch out, I’ve heard this can actually restrict important blood flow especially postpartum and can do serious damage, hope you wait long enough with drs ok, you are beautiful no matter what!”
User laurajeane5 chimed in, “This is extremely dangerous to your internal organs. So stupid! You guys know this is how she makes money right? She gets paid for promoting this crap on instagram, they all do it.”
After a few months, Kailyn almost tried more drastic measures. “I won’t lie to y’all, i came to Miami for lipo & a boob job,” Kailyn spilled on Twitter on Jan. 23. “But hours before my surgery i decided i don’t want to go through with it.”
“I’m not against plastic surgery in any way but this time I don’t want to go through the recovery and I don’t have a reason why I can’t do it myself when I’ve done it organically before,” she told
The Ashley’s Reality Roundup.
Once Kailyn showed off her bikini body on a trip to Hawaii, it seemed like she managed to figure out what works for her, and her healthy eating and exercise paid off in her body!
Chelsea Houska also chose a natural route for her amazing weight loss after giving birth to her second baby, Watson, last year. It’s hard to believe she was ever pregnant at all! The young mom has been showing off a slimmed out and totally toned body, which has fans wondering how she managed to accomplish so much since Watson is only a year old.
Chelsea has shared her weight loss methods in the past, but now she’s sharing a tip that seems to explain how she managed to drop so much weight.
“How did @ChelseaHouska lose her baby weight? Need tips!” wrote one of her fans on Twitter.
Chelsea shot back quickly, “Low carb ?.”
“I’m on a strict/low carb diet,” she added for fans. “It was not easy! But I’m 10lbs less than I was before I got pregnant, so it’s been worth it.”
“She also does Crossfit, working out and lifting,” another fan chimed in according to OK Magazine. But busy mom Chelsea pointed out, “I wish I still did CrossFit ? I haven’t been to a gym since I was pregnant haha.”
They say you can’t outrun a bad diet, and so Chelsea seems to have done most of her work in the kitchen. Now she has cleared up one tip that seems to have helped: Cauliflower everything!
She shared an image on Instagram that explained the way she diets. “Welcome to your 30s,” it reads. “A cauliflower substitute has replaced all the carbs you love and the only joy you get is watching shows about murder.” She captioned picture, “I’m not even 30 but this is 10000000% accurate for my life ??”
It’s not always easy for the star, though.
“It sucks,” she wrote on Twitter. “Today I made banana bread and tacos for the fam while I ate my chicken and asparagus.” She manages to make things a little bit better by planning ahead. “I do easy/quick meal prep. Lots of chicken breast and broccoli microwave steamers!” she shared.
Briana DeJesus decided to take a faster route than diet and exercise. She has now gone under the knife with the notorious Dr. Miami more than one time! Dr. Miami performed an intense postpartum surgery on the former Teen Mom 3
star after she had first daughter Nova. But after giving birth to her second daughter, Stella, she was not thrilled about the way her body looked.
Briana was very clear about her desire to get back her pre-baby body and publicly shared her plans to visit her plastic surgeon again, even if it destroyed her relationship with Javi Marroquin.
When the big day finally came, Dr. Miami, as usual, shared everything! Now, Teen Mom Talk Now has all of the pictures and videos of Briana’s procedure. Her extensive surgery included a chest lift, a tummy tuck, and a butt reshaping procedure.
Before the surgery, Dr. Miami explained on video what he’d be doing during the procedure. “We’re going to reshape the booty, because with the pregnancy, some of the pregnancy weight went to the booty,” he tells Briana. “So it’s a little too big for your frame. So we’re going to balance that all out.”

Briana seemed thrilled with the results of the procedure, and even eagerly posted another NSFW “after” image onto her Instagram.
She captioned it, “Snatched! Thank you @therealdrmiami. I have been extremely self conscious and insecure about my weight gain and this time I will stay in shape and work out to maintain ur work!”
Briana expressed her excitement about the extensive surgery, but fans are less than thrilled.
“Dude her surgery was f**king traumatic, she’s like 23 and had major total body surgeries twice, no one is jealous or happy for u Bri,” wrote reddit user Puppymom2. “We are concerned and shocked U shoulda just decided to hit the gym like kail. She got u there.”
User Masher214 brought up another concern. “My issue with this is I HIGHLY doubt she’s done having kids,” they pointed out.
They continued: “Once she is in another serious relationship I see her having at least one more and then what? Another surgery? That’s got to be pretty traumatic to your body. Either be done having kids now that you did it or wait until you’re done.”
It’s not just the moms slimming down! Tyler Baltierra has been hard at work to lose his extra pounds. When he posted his before and after pictures in June, fans were shocked at how much he’s changed.
He revealed just how much success he’s had in slimming down when he lost almost thirty pounds by focusing on his diet. He captioned the comparison: “26lbs DOWN!!! To be honest I didn’t even want to take a before picture, because I was already thinking of me not sticking with it & then having the evidence of failure to look back on. But DAYYUMM dude!”
He added, “This got me feeling some type of way right now! Left picture was almost 5 weeks ago & Right picture was today. Eating healthier just feels better & obviously looks better hahaha lol BOOM! ????,” he added.
He even shared with fans what he ate to drop the weight. “Blackened chicken salad & work!” Tyler captioned a shot of his lunch break while he apparently worked on his clothing line, Tierra Reign. When a curious fan asked, he even gave the Internet his recipe: he seasons his chicken with: “Paprika, Fresh Thyme, Rosemary, Creole Seasoning, Pepper, & Garlic Salt.”
It was clear that making positive changes that led to weight loss helped Tyler to feel much better physically and mentally. “For real though, it feels d*mn good dropping this weight. The cool thing about confidence, is that it looks good on EVERYONE,” he shared.
However, there were aspects to Tyler’s strict diet that had fans concerned. “Coffee and a piece of toast for breakfast (the ONLY carb I eat). Then an apple for lunch and a salmon, chicken or sliced steak salad for dinner,” Tyler revealed online. “No snacking! (Unless it’s an apple or orange.).” he added. “The weight just melts off, BOOM!”
This minimalist diet had fans concerned that Tyler might not be eating enough. “I’m sorry but that’s not healthy and not a way to effectively lose weight and keep it off,” wrote reddit user catfor. “The second he eats anything of actual substance his crash diet is going to bite him in the a**.”
Others weren’t bothered; wignewton wrote, “i’m so f**king happy for him!!! concentrating on what you can control & better like your home, hobby, parenting, work, & most importantly-health can be so satisfying when horrible things are happening…”
There’s another dad could be giving the girls a run for their money! Gary Shirley shared a photo of a used truck that he bought. When he posted the snap on Twitter, fans were less surprised to see his new purchase and
more shocked by his new look!
Reddit user Mayben shared, “[Is] Gary slimming down?” Others quickly agreed!
“The way that shirt is hanging on his body makes me think he’s slimmed down quite a bit… usually he fills them out right in the middle instead of them hanging on,” wrote user couchleopard.
User peachtea18 wrote, “He sort of looks like a different person in the face. Good for him for finally (hopefully) starting to lead a healthy lifestyle.”
Some even thought he might be slimming down out of spite for Amber Portwood!
“Weight loss is difficult to notice on such a large person at first. But I think he may look thinner,” wrote Olaf_bezerker. They added, “Wouldn’t it be amazing if Gary had a bada** glowup/revenge body and the last thing Amber has ever been able to say about Gary, that he’s a fata**, is taken away from her...?”
However, Amber is surely less focused on Gary these days and more concerned about her new life with Andrew Glennon.
She gave birth their first child (her second) in May. Maybe she can hit up her Teen Mom co-stars for weight loss tips when she is ready to drop the baby weight! The cast is clearly working hard to stay fit for the cameras, and it cannot be easy when all of these babies keep coming!
