Just because Teen Mom OG isn’t currently airing doesn’t mean that the cast doesn’t have any drama going on in their lives. In fact, Farrah Abraham seems to have more on her plate than usual during this hiatus.
Farrah made serious waves when she announced that MTV had fired her, severing her relationship with MTV and Teen Mom OG. According to Farrah, this was a result of her activity in the adult entertainment industry which led her to accuse the network of sexism and “hate crimes” against her.
On the night she was told she was fired, Farrah was coincidentally planning to perform anal on camera for one of her cam shows with the popular cam site, CamSoda. Because of the devastating news, the OG star didn’t go through with the show! Instead, she ended up breaking down on camera which forced the host site to refunded all of the viewers who had paid to see her perform.
Following the incident, news has come out that the company, CamSoda, didn’t pay Farrah for her appearance… which seems fair since she didn’t actually perform. Farrah disagrees, though. Now, the star is feuding with the website, demanding that she get her money!
Farrah has a lot more going on in her life than just attending her mother Debra’s wedding ceremonies. She’s currently battling with MTV, Viacom, Teen Mom executive producer Morgan J. Freeman, and the adult cam site, CamSoda.
It all began when Farrah announced she would be starring in another solo porn performance on the streaming site. Farrah has starred in a similar cam show before, but apparently, this was one step too far for the folks over at MTV.
The night of the show, Farrah updated her Instagram with a lengthy rant about how MTV had fired her from Teen Mom. The abrupt news lead to a public breakdown for the star and a decision not to go through with the performance.
One Reddit user who had tuned in for the show reported:
”She just came back on to say she won’t be doing anal because of her horrible news today; it’s pretty confusing. Everyone is being refunded since they didn’t get an actual show for their money. Her customers had to literally beg her to take clothes off and do anything sexy, so there’s your answer about how into this she really is.”
As a result, CamSoda had to refund all of the viewers the money they spent on the show, so it’s safe to assume that the website took a pretty significant loss. Now, it seems that they saved at least some of the money by not paying Farrah!
Farrah’s legal team is now accusing CamSoda of withholding a whopping $5,000 that they owe her for her performance. The letter reads:
”Ms. Abraham was to be paid a total of ten thousand dollars; half due within two business days of signing the Agreement, and the remainder due following the completion of the Session. Ms. Abraham fulfilled her obligations under the contract, but despite this, CamSoda is willfully withholding the remaining $5,000 due under the Agreement, thereby constituting a material breach of contract.”
Farrah’s lawyers are claiming that CamSoda did not contractually require Farrah to strip down in order to get her payday. “There is no requirement under the Agreement for Ms. Abraham to disrobe or be fully nude,” the letter reads. “To the contrary, the Agreement specifically states that ‘Performer shall interact with and respond to various users during the Session as Company and Performer may agree.”
They also alleged that it was CamSoda’s decision to stop the show, writing. “Ms. Abraham complied with this obligation and it was CamSoda who unilaterally decided to cut the Session short,” the documents read. They also defended Farrah’s rant by saying that she has a “right to voice her opinions.”
The letter claims that CamSoda failed to pay Farrah the $5,000 they owed, but now her legal team is intending to sue for a significantly larger sum.
“Please be advised that once filed, we will be seeking in excess of $75,000, including punitive damages and attorney fees for this willful breach of contract and additional claims,” the letter says. Her legal team claims that if CamSoda simply agrees to pay her the $5,000 owed, they won’t pursue further legal action.
“While my client could certainly demand more, at this point, in exchange for foregoing this lawsuit she is willing to accept the contractual amount owed to her: $5,000,” the letter reads.
As for Farrah’s relationship with MTV, that’s still up in the air. Farrah announced that MTV had only “fake” fired her, going off in a lengthy rant about the network.
“Viacom Legal Confirms I have not been fired, I have not breached my contract. Why has filming stopped?! Morgan J Freeman of 11th St productions is unprofessional, fake, women hater, press hungry,Sex Shaming, Hate Crimes, Poor Business Practices… that’s why I don’t share a stage, I have security, I’ve gone to therapy! Do not beat up, instigate physical fights, ruin and break a women’s self esteem, degrade women, this hate this criminal behavior bad business practices end today!”
