In the Teen Mom world, the cast members are more than just mothers. They’re also celebrities, wives, girlfriends, business woman, and — in some cases — adult entertainment stars. But at the end of the day, their claim to fame is becoming pregnant at a young age, and motherhood remains a big factor in their fame.
Amber Portwood made headlines this week when she confirmed rumors that she was expecting her second child with her (new) boyfriend, Andrew Glennon. Now, she’s opening up about the details of her pregnancy… and some of them are pretty strange!

It’s been years since Amber Portwood was pregnant for the first time. In fact, it’s been eight long years since Amber’s last baby bump — longer than almost any of the other Teen Mom stars ever gone without being pregnant again!
Most people didn’t expect Amber to be expecting again any time soon — as she only recently started dating her new boyfriend — but Amber confirmed that she is, in fact, with child just a few days ago! Now, she’s sharing all of the details of what it means to be expecting.
Many Teen Mom viewers are mothers themselves, so they’re familiar with what it’s like to be carrying a baby, but some viewers aren’t and the cast knows it. The girls are never shy about opening up with every detail of their lives so even people who have never had children can see what it’s like to carry a child. For Amber Portwood, it includes some pretty strange cravings.
It’s normal for pregnant woman to have unique cravings, from pickles and peanut butter to chocolate and pizza. For Amber, the one food she had to have? Taco Bell.
“I may or may not have had Taco Bell last night,” Amber told Us Magazine. “I got a Nacho Supreme and Pintos N Cheese. It was horrible afterwards. My tummy was turning in every direction, but I was like, ‘You know what? I had to do it!’”

These late night snacks are despite her boyfriend’s efforts to keep her eating healthy throughout her pregnancy. “Andrew is very adamant on making sure that I’m eating nothing but fruits, veggies, meats, and organic foods,” Amber said in the interview.
Turns out, her cravings veer into even stranger directions. She revealed that she’s been chowing down on sandwiches made with crackers, peanut butter, cheddar, and pickles.
“Some people are probably going to be like, ‘ewww,’” she said. “But when I first found out I was pregnant, I really had a craving for that. My brother made it up when we were young. It’s probably the weirdest craving I’ve had. That and chocolate milk.”
By now, Amber’s pregnancy is out in the public, but she reveals that it was a difficult truth to reveal to her parents. “I was nervous,” she told Us. “Obviously it’s non-traditional. Usually parents want you to be married first and things like that. But you know me, if I didn’t do things the way I did, I wouldn’t be me.”
Fans are excited for Amber to have another member of the family, but they’re a little less thrilled about the father. Once news of his lengthy criminal record got out, people became worried for how it would affect Amber. Hopefully, his push for healthy eating is a sign that he’s turning a over a new leaf!
