She's got her guy ready to go
Jenelle Evans is going to cement happiness into her new, more peaceful life with this wedding taking place on September 23; she’s got every detail already in place. Everyone will play an important role in the ceremony because the guest list will be kept very small. (She just wants her closest friends and family members there to avoid drama.) So when it came time to pick a guy to walk her down the aisle, there was a clear choice.
In just about two weeks, Jenelle will be making her lifelong vows of love and adoration to David, and they couldn’t be happier about their new life together. They’ve already had a baby, built a dream home, and moved their families in together this year, and this wedding will just the be icing on the cake.
They’ve decided to have a “backyard rustic theme” (which is obvious based on their engagement photo from their backyard), yet it will still have an “elegant, sweet and Southern” feel to it. She will be getting hitched in her own backyard and holding the reception there. She wants a “small, private” ceremony with “only close friends and family.” She hasn’t invited her co-stars but did invite MTV to film the big day.
She divulged the details on her reception, “If you’re wondering about our wedding song, we chose a [Sam Hunt] song. Can’t believe our first dance will be to country!” The ceremony will be so southern and casual that she said, “I even told guys, ‘Come in jeans and button-downs.’ I don’t care. It’s going to be laid-back, with buffet-style food and only close friends and family.”
One big question we’ve been wondering is what the kids are going to do; Jenelle and David have five children between them. She said about their roles, “While reading our vows I would like the girls to be part of the bridesmaids and the boys to be part of the groomsmen.” She’s already got their clothes picked out. And she found her wedding dress on a special trip to New York City.
“Jenelle won’t have her father at the the ceremony; he hasn’t been in her life for a long time. She said about him, “Robert Evans was only in my life for a little while. For that short and glorious time, I was daddy’s little girl. I loved and admired him. I still do in some way. Without warning everything changed, and my dad cut himself out of my life. Even now, as a grown woman, we don’t talk. Maybe one day that will change. Maybe one day we can find one another, get to know each other, and he can finally be my father. Until then, he is just my biological dad.”
The Big Man
So who will be walking Jenelle down the aisle? Her own eight-year-old son Jace! Jenelle said, “He is so excited. He wants to wear his suit tomorrow!”
Jace is still in the full custody of his grandmother Barbara, but Jenelle will have custody of him on the weekends. Barbara, however, has not been invited to the wedding yet. Jenelle said, “She really crushed our relationship. Maybe I’ll forgive her someday, but just not right now.” Jenelle said that she wants to work on her relationship with her mother through therapy in the future.
