Matt Baier opened up to People last week, telling them that his breakdown was due to a relapse he experienced during the filming of the most recent season of OG. Baier revealed that he was “really upset” when he saw the footage air on MTV.
“When I saw that piece of tape I had no idea that even existed—that wasn’t me,” he said in the exclusive interview, indicating that his drug use had escalated to the point of blacking out for days at a time.

Matt also said that he tried his best to keep his drug use from Portwood at first, but that she immediately knew that something wasn’t right with her boyfriend of three years. When Portwood finally got the truth out of him, Matt says that she convinced him to go into treatment again and that he is now clean—for good, this time, he says.

In the most recent episode of Teen Mom OG Maci discussed her growing concerns for her ex-and-baby-daddy Ryan Edwards with co-stars Catelynn and Amber. The group was vacationing in Puerto Rico for Baltierra’s birthday when the conversation got serious. Maci mentioned that she’s been watching helplessly her child’s father spiraling towards rock bottom while those closest to him refuse to help.
