Pay Up! Kailyn’s Baby Daddy Demands Child Support

Kailyn’s life was completely chaotic after she split from her husband Javi and took her two kids with her. She found herself pregnant by another guy which enraged Javi so much that Kailyn feared for her safety. She asked Javi to sign a consensual order of protection back in May, which would limit the contact the two of them had to only written messages about their son Lincoln, and Javi couldn’t get within 100 feet of Kailyn.

The order was short-lived though; Kailyn felt like Javi had accepted her pregnancy enough to let him around her house so that he could maintain a relationship with his son and stepson. Javi even helped teach Isaac, Kailyn’s child with Jo Rivera, how to ride a bike.

But Javi had a little trick up his sleeve that no one saw coming, especially not Kailyn.

Filing the Papers

Kailyn was served with papers on a recent episode of Teen Mom 2 that came from Javi. She explained to her producer, “Javi basically is asking for child support. I always knew he had it in his back pocket, but I didn’t think he ever would actually file.”

While Kailyn was pretty aggravated by the stunt, Javi told his friend that he had a very good reason to do what he did. He said, “I decided it’s best for Lincoln. I don’t like to ask Kail for money, but from what I’ve seen I want to make sure Linc is taken care of. His tuition is expensive. I don’t want to do it all by myself. I’m not going to make her go broke. If we come to an agreement on another amount then we’re going to do that. She’s not going to be happy.”

The Numbers

Kailyn further explained that there’s really no reason for him to need money. She broke it down, “[Javi is saying] I should provide health insurance for Lincoln, which he gets through work. I already pay for his school tuition. I already pay for him to eat here. I already pay for him to be clothed here. You have free childcare with your parents living with you and you have medical through your work. What exactly do you need the child support for?”

Apparently, Javi wanted to put her child support payments in a savings account for Lincoln. Clearly, this didn’t sit well with Kailyn considering the money he was requesting wasn’t necessary. She said, “It’s because he wants to be spiteful and he wants the money. It’s a slap in the face!”

Kailyn is juggling a lot right now with this child support petition, her new infant, a third baby daddy, and trying to regain her relationship with her estranged mom. Kailyn stopped talking to her mom when she realized that the woman was intoxicated while babysitting Kailyn’s child. Kailyn has since tried to reach out since the birth of the still unnamed Baby Lo, saying, “Tried to contact her about her new grandson but I got nothing.”
