She may be calling it quits!
As the Teen Mom cast members continue to grow older and focus more on their families, some of them begin to consider stepping off of the show. Through the years, there have been numerous rumors of the girls considering the choice of calling it quits, which normally ends with fans less than happy.
Some of the cast members have more dedicated fans than others, and Chelsea Houska seems to be one of them. This recent update makes it seem like she’s considering a permanent break from filming Teen Mom, and fans immediately began to beg her to reconsider. They don’t want to watch Chelsea go!
Sick of Filming
It’s not uncommon for the Teen Mom cast members to flirt with the idea of quitting the show on social media. They’re known for being honest with fans about their thoughts and experiences, and sometimes constant filming takes a serious toll on them. So when Chelsea felt “sick” of filming, she took to Twitter to share her experience.
Chelsea opened up that one of her biggest concerns was being misrepresented in the eyes of her daughter, Aubree. She was concerned that editing might make things appear to be worse than they really are. She launched onto a Twitter rant, saying, “You know. I’ve tried my hardest to not say my feelings on this season but after watching tonight’s episode and the numerous times they’ve.. Turned sweet great moments into s**t. I can’t not say anything. They took this Aubree thing and f**king stretched it as far as they possibly Could. They took out every time she was being a turd (aka a regular 7 year old) and me correcting her. And turned it into A. Her acting out because of the baby or B. Me ignoring her because of the baby.”
“Heartbroken”
She calls it like it is, saying, “This, you guys, is horse sh*t.”
When the last episode aired, she was less than happy with the way it portrayed her family. She tweeted, “Tonight’s episode they needed some story line so we agreed to talk about having baby fever so soon. The scene I’m talking about they clipped and cut so d**n much. And what was actually a great a** time, they cut down to show me snap at aubs… But did not show the 8000000 times she was not listening beforehand. They of course wanted to make it look like I wanted another baby But was still overwhelmed and having issues with aubree.”
She says that Aubree acts somewhat different in front of the crew, which she says is normal. “Aubree is my #1 girl,” she tweeted. “And she’s a 7 year old. When we film she likes to show off and test limits with the crew there. Like a regular 7yr old. I’m so sick of filming great things and cute things and [MTV] trying to dig so deep and create something out of nothing by adding dramatic music. They tell us to trust them with our story.”
“Cole and I made it an absolute #1 priority to always make aubree feel like she was still everything. And we filmed so much to even show that. All [MTV shows is] frustration and me telling aubree not to do sh*t. And I’m seriously heartbroken that she will see this someday&think thats How it was,” she concludes.
Fans Begging
Considering Chelsea’s concerns, it’s not hard to see why fans were worried this would lead to her quitting the show. “I wish you and Cole has your own show. Only reason I watch #TeenMom2,” one user wrote, and another agreed, “Same!! NO Chelsea NO SHOW!” Another fan wrote, “If this is leading up to you not wanting to film the show, I’m [going] to be hurt because you’re low-key the only reason I watch it anymore.”
That said other fans actually encouraged Chelsea to consider leaving the show. “If it doesn’t make you happy. Don’t do it. Don’t get sucked in. It’s not worth it,” one user wrote. Another agreed, “Time for Chelsea to give up on teen mom 2. You don’t fit their dramatic theme anymore. Luv ya girl,” and a third said, “You’re a grown adult now so hopefully you’re contract will be up soon and you can live your life free of cameras. Has to be exhausting!”
Others still just wanted to reassure Chelsea that she was doing the best she could considering her situation. “Don’t worry about it Chelsea. You’re a great mom and we know how kids can act when other ppl are around,” one fan wrote. Another fan agreed, “Totally get the frustration, but I wouldn’t worry – it’s obvious to viewers that they’re stretching because life is happy for you. Wish they could just focus on the happy – everyone else on the show has enough drama for a lifetime. Your little family is so sweet!”
