By now, we’ve all gotten our fair share of Baby Lo’s cuteness… and of the drama that’s been following the parents of the newest addition to the Teen Mom cast! However, there are still a few questions running around concerning Baby Lo, one of which being the fact that he’s still going by the name Baby Lo!
Kailyn had goals to name Baby Lo within a month of his birth, but it doesn’t look like he’ll be getting a legal name anytime soon. In the mean time, Baby Lo has gotten a new nickname, and fans are not happy to hear what his father is calling him!

The Name Game

There was a lot of hype surrounding Kailyn’s pregnancy with Baby Lo, and Kailyn opened up that she wasn’t sure what she was going to name her child when it was born! Before Baby Lo was born, she decided to give insight into her naming process. She tweeted some names she was thinking. She wrote that for a girl, she was thinking “Karsyn, Anastasia, Murphy and Leona,” while her boy names were “Griffin, Nixon, Ripken and Silas.”
A little later, she wanted to see what fans thought about the names. She tweeted a poll that said, “I like last names for first names, how do we feel about Murphy for baby lo?” Unfortunately, fans weren’t super into it; only 22% voted yes.
Eventually, fans decided to go straight to the source to ask Kailyn about Baby Lo’s name. One fan fan tagged her on Twitter, writing, “still waiting on that baby name …” Kailyn retweeted it and replied, “Still trying to pick one… I think I’m overthinking it.”
Fans chimed in with suggestions and support; even Chelsea had some helpful words. She wrote, “I’m making a list for you,” with some laughing emojis.
Luckily, fans shouldn’t have to wait too much longer. Kailyn wrote, “Thank you… I would like to name him this week,” with a laughing emoji and a skull emoji. Considering that this was tweeted on August 7th, Kailyn is a little behind schedule.

Baby Lo still doesn’t have a formal name, but fans have picked up on a new nickname he’s received that they’re less than happy about. Reddit user vickyleelee wrote, “I started following Chris on Twitter the other day due to curiosity after reading some of his ‘tweets’ on this site. Anyways some of his followers named the baby Trap. Some followers are outraged by that name and some think it is funny. Just thought I’d share with everyone the latest Twitter drama!”
Fans interepreted the name as meaning that Chris felt “trapped” into a relationship with Kail since he got her pregnant with Baby Lo. User madein_amerika wrote, “I still fail to see how a man, having consensual, unprotected sex, can possibly be “trapped” by a woman into getting her pregnant but okay. People won’t let this issue die and it’s ridiculous (not talking about you, but people in general). No one trapped him–no matter what the rumors are about Kail lying about infertility and birth control, he still chose to have unprotected sex with someone he wasn’t in committed long term relationship with, so that imo makes him a dumba** lol.”

Some people stuck up for Chris. Reddit user wedditer wrote, “That’s deplorable. No matter who the parents are and what they have done, that is still a child they are talking about! Poor baby Lo. :(“ And user vickyleelee came to Chris’s defense, writing, “I agree with you! But…. I also think Kail and Chris are making it harder on the baby and bringing more attention via social media by not naming him. People calling him Baby Lo/Trap or whatever wouldn’t be happening if they would give the baby the dignity of a name. Respect your child enough to name him after a MONTH. I can see it taking a few days or so decide… but a month? Really? At this point it is just ridiculous. I think she believes people are waiting on pins and needles or maybe she is hoping some magazine will pay her for the name to be released on a magazine cover or something and she’ll get a photo shoot out of it. At this point, the fact that people are giving Chris a hard time about the non-naming of the baby is no ones fault but the parents. Name the kid and end it.”
