It seems that Adam doesn’t want to be a part of Aubree’s life because he doesn’t want to be on camera.
Adam will not be returning for the upcoming season of Teen Mom. The only reason he showed up for season 7 was because he was under contract; however, he made sure to be as rude as possible any time he was on camera.
Custody Agreement

Adam recently tried to rearrange his custody agreement. Chelsea said that she was not interested in giving him more time with Aubree because he doesn’t do anything to deserve it.
When Adam did not acknowledge Aubree’s birthday, Chelsea was visibly upset during the party. Chelsea vented about her frustrations. “It’s so disgusting to me,” she said. “These are the things that matter.”
