In a different type of abuse, Catelynn’s mother was an abuser of drugs and alcohol for a long time. Tyler’s father was in and out of jail repeatedly for drug abuse as well, so both of them have had to overcome tough times.

Catelynn and Tyler are becoming more open about their “pro-life” stance since their rise to stardom. I guess it’s not surprising, as the couple decided to carry their first child Carly to full term then put her up for adoption.

Over the years the young mother has posted about her pro-life beliefs on both Twitter and Instagram, which has drawn criticism from some of her pro-choice fans.

It’s unclear just how much money the couple makes from MTV for appearing on Teen Mom, but they seem to be doing just fine as they just bought a home for their family in Michigan. Neither Catelynn nor Tyler has a full-time job outside of the show, and (so far) neither of them has pursued higher education, even though they both planned to go to college.
