Although Tyler and Catelynn may have been together for a while now, that doesn’t mean they always see eye-to-eye on everything. Catelynn has publicly announced that she wants at least three more children, but Tyler doesn’t seem too keen on the idea of a family quite that big. According to Fame10, Catelynn has said that despite her desire for at least four children, Tyler says that he’s done at three.
Troubled Past

Fans of the show know that Catelynn and Tyler both had very unstable childhoods. It’s common knowledge that Catelynn’s mother had a substance abuse problem and Tyler’s father has a long history with legal troubles.
Catelynn elaborated somewhat on what growing up was like for her in their book, saying that her home “was all parties and drinking.” She goes on to say that she often had to tell her mother to keep the party down and spent a lot of her younger years caring for her siblings while her mother was incapacitated.

Catelynn also spoke about the abuse she and her mother, April, endured at the hands of some of her mother’s boyfriends. In their book, she discusses a particular episode wherein one of the men, who was high at the time, tried to choke Catelynn. Tyler arrived just in time and was able to pull the man off of Catelynn and contact the authorities.
