Here comes the bride!
Considering that the members of the Teen Mom cast are only in their mid-twenties, they have a pretty significant number of marriages and divorces among them. Many of the girls have been engaged and married more times than some people will be in their entire lives — and all before they even turn 30! As we keep up with all of the girls’ significant life moments through the seasons of Teen Mom, it can be surprising when another member of the cast is tying the knot already.
This couple will be making it official in the next few days, and — even though they had a pretty explosive backstory — they seem beyond excited about walking down the aisle!

Maci Bookout has come a long way since first starring on 16 and Pregnant. She’s now officially the wife of Taylor McKinney, and she’s balancing being a mother to three children with working on her and Taylor’s clothing line. And that’s not even mentioning keeping up with all of the drama that being a Teen Mom OG cast member brings.
When she first appeared on Teen Mom, she was trying to juggle raising an infant with her difficult boyfriend Ryan Edwards. Since then, Ryan and Maci have parted ways which has started a whole new slew of co-parenting fights and feuds. Maci moved on to Taylor, but Ryan also found love with someone new: Mackenzie Standifer.
When Maci first met Mackenzie, they hit it off quickly. Not long after, Ryan’s drug use started to become a problem between Maci and the new couple. But apparently it wasn’t too much for Mackenzie and Ryan, because despite a highly public cheating scandal, they stayed together.
Ryan and Mackenzie took a page out of Chelsea Houska’s book by getting legally married before their ceremony took place. That doesn’t mean they’re not planning a bigger party to celebrate their wedding, though!

Fans will remember that Mackenzie and Ryan’s first wedding ceremony was one of the most controversial events Teen Mom OG has ever seen. It’s not what happened during the wedding but what happened after that had viewers furious with Ryan, Mackenzie, and the network itself.
On the way to their ceremony, Mackenzie addressed her husband-to-be before noticing something seemed off. Soon, it became clear that Ryan wasn’t all there — he was reportedly so high on Xanax that he began nodding off. This would be bad enough, but the fact that Ryan was driving the car made matters even worse. “Why are you swerving?” Mackenzie asked, and Ryan replied “My eyes, babe, in the sunlight I can’t keep ’em open.”
In the meantime, fans were confused about why Ryan and Mackenzie were having yet another ceremony. Reddit user anotherbabydaddy wrote “Does their first wedding not count because he was high?”
User Shanntuckymuffin penned, “It’s not a wedding if you’re already married-it’s an overpriced gift-grab.” User Repogirl27 wondered, “Is it possible that it was one of her friends rehearsal dinners and she worded it to insinuate it was hers so we would all talk about it?”
