It was the darkest time of her life
Though you’d think that Mackenzie Mckee of Teen Mom 3 was so happy after giving birth to her third child in 2016, it was actually the darkest period in her young life. The blonde fitness guru was so unhappy after her husband moved out of the house with the kids that she actually thought about taking her own life, and he told her that she probably should go through with it.

While we haven’t seen Mackenzie Mckee on TV for a while, we’ve been keeping up with her and her family over the years. She appeared on MTV’s Teen Mom 3, which lasted for only one season.
Dark Days

After having three children before the age of 22 and being diagnosed with a life-altering disease, Mackenzie’s body became a prison. She said, “A diabetic is going to have bad days. I got my tubes tied and my body is jacked up.”
Things got progressively worse for her, and she just didn’t understand why at the time, saying, “I would fill up the bathtub and go under water. I would take anxiety meds and hope not to wake up.”
Postpartum

Because their bodies are still growing and changing, teen girls are more susceptible to getting postpartum depression; that depression can get more severe with each child she gives birth to. Mackenzie experienced an extreme depression after giving birth to her third child Broncs in August 2016.
Mackenize explained how postpartum depression affected her marriage: “That pushed Josh away. There was no support. He hated who I became. During that time he had left and that was when I was texting that guy.”
