Courtland, Andrew, Gary, and More!
As most Teen Mom viewers know, MTV has been creating several spinoff episodes of Teen Mom that focus on the other people in the cast member’s lives. Many of their exes, partners, and even parents have gotten their chance to shine on these specials like Being Barbara, Being Simon, and Being Vee. It seemed like MTV was bound to run out of people to feature in these specials, but apparently they’ve got something else up their sleeve.
Many perceptive fans of Teen Mom have been noticing that many forgotten members of the Teen Mom cast have been coming out of the woodwork lately, and they all seem to have one thing in common: they all dated Jenelle Evans!
Many fans theorized that it was happening, but Jenelle just confirmed it. MTV is doing an episode featuring Jenelle’s former paramours!

“Being… Jenelle’s Ex”?

Sometimes, the best way to get a sneak peek of what’s going on in the Teen Mom world is to keep up with the stars on social media. This doesn’t mean just the primary cast members, though. Sometimes those who have fallen off the Teen Mom radar are important, too!
About a month ago, fans on Reddit noticed that Courtland Rogers posted an interesting update on his Facebook. It read, “…Waiting on the film crew to get here… #Nervous #MTV.” Needless to say, fans had a lot of questions and theories about why MTV was working with Courltand.
User LeahMether wrote, “Why are so many of Jenelle’s exes coming out is the woodwork? And why is MTV even involving themselves with a bunch of losers? So weird.” User ubehuda chimed in that they thought that “MTV is doing a Being Jenelle’s Ex….” and it turned out it was a pretty good guess!
It wasn’t long before another photo of the MTV crew surfaced, and this time, it included a familiar face — and one we haven’t seen in quite some time — Jace’s father, Andrew! User SkibaSlut wrote, “Isn’t this Andrew? Is being Jenelles ex gonna be a thing??”
LeahMether chimed in with their take:
“What is he even going to say? That he has never seen Jace in 8 years and give excuses as to why? Jace wouldn’t even know who he is, if Jenelle was going to threaten to quit the show THIS should be a reason why. Jace WILL see this episode and break his heart even more than it already is. This is Jenelle’s chance to actually put her foot down for a good reason with MTV and she doesn’t take it.”

The story all came together when Jenelle updated her Instagram with numerous behind-the-scenes snaps of MTV filming. She captioned them, “‘The Ex Files’ coming to you soon!”
Unsurprisingly, not many viewers on Reddit were excited for this update. “She’s probably trying to spin it like ‘look at all these losers I had to date to find prince charming!’ When we all watch it and think wow, he’s just as bad as the rest,” wrote user Juhnelle.
User LeahMether wrote, “I’m still furious about Jenelle allowing this, she can’t tell MTV what to do but she could break her and Jace’s contracts because of this. The same for Barb. Do not humiliate a child for some rating. F–k the entire Evans clan and production team.”
They went on to complain about MTV’s decision to give Jace’s deadbeat father a platform and a paycheck:
“Andrew hasn’t seen Jace since he was born (correct me if I am wrong), yet is willing to accept cash from MTV when they call, when without Jace these opportunities with MTV wouldn’t exist. It says a lot that they’re able to get in contact with him for these specials and he clearly responds, as it is not as if Jenelle has no idea how to get in touch with him (as she’d have to give his info to MTV for them to call him) and that is not why he isn’t around.”
