Leah has a new boyfriend! He seems perfect on paper, but after some digging, his alarming past has been revealed. Should Leah be letting this man see her daughters?
Will Leah Messer ever choose the right man? After two divorces by age 26, fans have finally met her latest boyfriend.
However, Mr. Right might be Mr. Wrong. Fans have been stunned to find out that her new man has faced serious financial trouble, as well as an odd connection to drugs. Could Leah have ever predicted this?!
On 16 and Pregnant, fans were introduced to Leah and her high school sweetheart, Corey Simms, the father of twins Aleeah Grace and Aliannah Hope. After a brief separation, they became engaged in 2010 and married shortly after. The couple divorced after only months when Leah admitted to Corey that she cheated on him.
Leah began dating Jeremy Calvert, the father of her third child, Adalynn Faith, in August of 2011. She married Jeremy in April of 2012 and it quickly began to fall apart. He moved out in 2014, shortly before Leah went to rehab. The couple divorced in June of 2015 and Leah’s infidelity was once again an issue.
Corey re-married in June 2013. His new wife has famously butted heads with Leah because of her cheating. Leah’s tendency to stray has been a major issue in her previous relationships… how will it affect her new romance?
After her most recent divorce, Leah had several rumored hookups, including a long-term, on-and-off relationship with personal trainer T.R. Dues. However, Leah has not introduced viewers to any new boyfriends… until now!
In February, Leah told Kailyn Lowry on her podcast, Coffee Convos, that she did not think she would find her “forever” in West Virginia. She was insistent that she was raising her daughters as a single mom for now.
After months of waiting and speculation, this past week, the public was introduced to her new boyfriend. Fans spotted flirty comments on Leah’s Independence Day Instagram post. On a photo of Leah’s daughters watching fireworks in Clearwater, Florida, user @raylansdad416 commented, “the fireworks were incredible no doubt, but being with you was the most incredible part of my evening ;)” along with a kissing face emoji. Leah replied to the mystery man with a string of emojis, including smiles and a kissing face.
The Ashley’s Reality Roundup broke the story that Leah’s new man is Jason Jordan of West Virginia. Evidently, they have been dating for several months, but Leah has kept the relationship quiet. A former basketball player, he studied psychology and sociology at West Virginia Wesleyan University.
A source told Us Weekly that Jason is a well-established professional in medical sales, who lives in a nearby West Virginia city. According to the source, “super thoughtful” Jordan “built their first date around things Leah likes to do.”
The source also shared that the couple met through his cousin, a friend of Leah’s. This is not the first time that Leah has found love through a mutual connection. She only had one friend in common with Jeremy before they met: her ex Corey!
Since the news broke about her new boyfriend, Leah has been nothing but positive on social media.
She shared a text post on Instagram reading, “You deserve a relationship that is based on connection, partnership and intimacy. Choose to be in a relationship with someone who is honest, 100% responsible for their life and committed to being the best person they can be, along with loving and adoring your mind, body and soul. Never settle for anything less.”
Many fans were shocked by the 13-year age gap between 26-year-old Leah and 39-year-old Jason. On reddit, user FrauEdwards called out his aged appearance as “a West Virginia 39.”
MrsTrustIssues added, “He’s 100 years old. Has she looked in a mirror?”
However, Us ’s source said, “Even though he’s older, they have a lot in common. They share the same faith and have gone to church together. They love hiking…cooking.” The source called Jason “family-oriented” and “very attentive” and shared, “He will leave flowers for the girls and notes for Leah on her car.”
The couple can also bond over the difficulties of raising children after a divorce. Jason split from his wife in the fall. “Jason has a 2-year old and Leah has met him,” the source shared. “She hasn’t really dated since her breakup from Jeremy, so she was a little nervous to introduce him to the kids, but they absolutely love him.”
Leah tweeted, “I’m okay if I don’t have anymore kids, it’s not even a thought of mine! #justsaying” After three girls, did Jason’s young son finally wear her out?
Though the couple only recently went public, the source tells Us, “It’s progressing forward … They’re just enjoying each other in the moment.”
Unfortunately, fans will not be seeing any more of her new beau anytime soon. A Teen Mom source has said that Leah “wants to keep this relationship more private,” so he will not be appearing on the show, though Season 9 is currently filming.
Even if he won’t be appearing on television, Jason has already brought drama off-screen. Radar Online found court documents from the United Bankruptcy Court Southern District of West Virginia showing Jason filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in 2002. With Chapter 7 bankruptcy, the debtor’s liable property is auctioned off to pay creditors.
According to court documents, his property included a 1998 Pontiac Grand Am, on which he owed $10,000. He also owed over $30,000 in credit card bills and loans. At the time of filing, he was employed at Texas Steakhouse, but for only three weeks. In 2000, he earned $1,700 and in 2001, that number dropped to $800. His total monthly expenses, according to the bankruptcy paperwork, were $1,030, despite his lack of income.
What could have caused his financial woes? A shocking YouTube series published under the name John Smith suggests that it might have been a drug problem!
In the since-deleted videos, a man now identified as Jason speaks to the camera candidly about his drug addiction. He uses a filter that distorts his head and voice.
“Meth Man,” as he calls himself, cries in one video, “Bout to go score me some meth! Meth I love you. I shoot it in my veins. I snort it up my nose. I smoke it in a pipe. Meth, meth.” In another video, Jason, performing as his alter-ego, begs, “Get me some meth. I don’t care. I love meth!”
In his debut, “Meth Man” complains, “Everybody says there’s something wrong with me. Like I got a big head and small chin…You do meth for 6 months and people think there’s something wrong with you.” He reassures viewers, “C’mon, everybody’s doing it. Everybody. I’m fine.” Though Jason claimed on Twitter that the videos were a parody, their extent is surprising.
Despite their lack of widespread popularity, he continued the “satire” in many videos over several years. Reddit user humpagoat wrote, “I feel like people that are young sort of get a pass since they don't always realize how crazy-weird they sound/look but this guy was grown when he made this video. I would be extra embarrassed if this was a video that my SO posted online...”
CriminalVixen wrote, “She’s really living her standard…”
-i-downvoted-you- added, “There’s plenty of fish in the sea but Leah goes down to the crick and reels herself in a catfish.”
Uncovering the bizarre series from her new boyfriend has raised questions for viewers. After Monday’s episode of Teen Mom, user i-am-canadian-sorry posted on reddit, “Guys I'm wondering if Leah smokes meth? Last night Kail went to Leahs hotel room where Kail had asked if Leah was painting her nails because she could smell nail polish…”
The post continues:
"Leah is kind of slow to respond but eventually says no she didn't paint her nails…I guess it caught me off gaurd but Leah looked off while she was standing there with glazed eyes while Kail was talking. (This is about 22:19 in the episode) One thing that is said about smoking meth is it smells like acetone. Some rehabs actually tell people to look out for smells such as nail polish or acetone if you suspect someone is smoking meth. Could it be possible she's using meth? There have been a couple episodes this season that make me question her sobriety. Again this is all speculation and I hope I'm not right, but Leah lives in an area with high meth usage and is dating a guy called Meth man. I'm wondering if it might be true."
The gossip about Leah and her new boyfriend goes further! On Crazy Days & Nights, Blind Item #10 read, “I thought this MTV mom was finally getting her act together. Well, honestly she had been together for about the past year. Now? Hey, when you start dating your former drug dealer, how do you think that is going to work out for all involved? He has also pimped out a few women over the years in his never ending quest to make money and not pay taxes.”
In response to the blind item, amberalertambs objected, “You know what if Leah is on drugs then I’ll have what she’s having. She’s still able to function and she’s looked amazing for a while now.”
CattyLibby responded, “She can function for her 5 minutes segments, but that’s all we see to judge on. And she doesn’t hold down a job or have primary custody of two of her children.”
Though it may not be as shocking as meth, Leah’s new man has raised red flags for other reasons. Miss_chanandlerbong_ wrote, “I’m more interested in the fact that he’s in medical sales. Bet it’s pharmaceuticals.” Given Leah’s history with prescription drugs, the interest is understandable. Her struggles with pills came to a head onscreen in one of Teen Mom 2’s most shocking moments.
As millions of viewers watched in horror, Leah began dozing off in the middle of a conversation while holding her infant niece. Her ex-husband Corey has famously accused her of struggling with a drug addiction. She entered an inpatient rehab facility in 2015, but insisted that it was to treat her anxiety and depression. Leah has denied any allegations of drug abuse, but has admitted to using hydrocodone and Percocet after Addie’s birth in 2013.
Leah’s alleged drug abuse has not been the only serious issue in her relationships.
Her cheating has caused nasty break-ups time and time again. Her new boyfriend has been in the public eye for a few days and accusations of infidelity have already surfaced. Why can’t Leah stay faithful?
First, it was revealed on an episode of Teen Mom 2 that Leah cheated on Corey shortly before their wedding with her ex, Robbie Kidd. The reunion episode with Dr. Drew later confirmed that she cheated during her bachelorette party. After Leah’s confession, Corey responded, “I just don’t know if I can get past cheating this time. The past three years I’ve been hurt more than I have in my whole life.”
Leah, crying, told Corey, “You deserve someone that’s gonna appreciate everything you do.”
“That’s why it’s so hard, because I want it to be you,” Corey cried. “But you won’t do it.”
The couple filed for divorce shortly after the shocking confession.
The troubles continued into her next marriage. After her marriage to Jeremy and Corey’s marriage to Miranda, the couple reunited in Corey’s work truck and betrayed their respective spouses. Though it was only a rumor for months, it was confirmed on the reunion that season with Dr. Drew.
Corey said on the matter, “Things happened that shouldn’t have happened and it was disrespectful to Miranda and I have apologized. That’s the only time that I disrespected her.”
However, that was not the end of her troubles with Jeremy. In a Twitter rant against Leah, Jeremy told fans he had caught her with her ex-boyfriend, Robbie, the same man she cheated on Corey with, in October 2014. One month later, Jeremy filed for divorce, and in June of this year, as Leah was in treatment, their divorce was finalized.
Robbie later publicly confirmed that to In Touch that he and Leah hooked up as her marriage to Jeremy was falling apart. After weeks of secret phone chats, “I asked her if she wanted to come over and talk,” Robbie recalls to the magazine. “Leah didn’t hesitate. She came right over, and one thing led to another and we had sex. We wore protection.”
“That was the one and only time. Leah felt really alone because Jeremy’s gone a lot for work,” Robbie said. “She said Jeremy doesn’t care about her or their family when he’s gone. All he wants to do is talk about sex.” “We’ll always have a connection, but I’m tired of the drama,” he said. “I’m finally happy with where I’m at in my life. I don’t want anything to do with her anymore.”
Robbie moved on and supposedly, so did Jeremy.
He became engaged to Brooke Wehr. However, the couple had a
tumultuous relationship filled with break ups and social media rants. At one point last spring, Leah posted a photo of her out on the town with Jeremy. As Teen Mom Talk Now
previously reported, Jeremy’s ex-fiancée, Brooke, was not at all happy to see it. At the time, Jeremy publicly stated that the cause for his break-up with Brooke was a 35-minute phone call between him and Leah.
More recently, Jeremy found love again. He started dating a new girl, Desi Kibler, this spring and in the beginning, things looked great.
“Road trips with babe…… #sohappy #grateful #shesamazing,” Jeremy captioned a picture of him and his new girlfriend, making their relationship Instagram official. The two quickly became flirtatious across social media. In fact, they even hinted at getting married!
After only a few weeks together, Desi tweeted, “Hate leaving Jeremy, makes me appreciate him even more every time I’m with him #timetostartplanning” and added emojis of a wedding ring, a house, and a family!
By June there was trouble in paradise for the new lovebirds. Fans were quick to notice that Jeremy deleted all pictures of Desi from his Instagram… and then deleted his Instagram entirely!
“I have a type,” Desi tweeted at the time of the breakup. “Faithful and trustworthy.” She added, “If you’re going to act single, then be single.”
Even though Desi may have been shocked by Jeremy’s behavior, fans were not. Leah has been known to interfere in happy relationships in the past and this time may have been the same!
After all, Leah and Jeremy finally let it slip that they were hooking up during filming of the most recent season.
In a recent episode, she tells a friend, “I mean, he has tried to…me to have sex with him a couple times. And it happened once and it happened a few months ago. We went to his house and I had to like hide walking out to the car the next morning so his mother didn’t see me.”
And evidently Leah’s new man, Jason, has been as busy as she has. An anonymous source online shared: “My really good friend and he dated for over a year and broke up at the end of May. It’s heart breaking to see how fast he has moved on and that they have been together for over three months. Shows he was apparently cheating on my friend. Seeing him hold Leahs hand all over news media breaks my heart…”
Based on her history, many fans found it easy to believe that Leah became involved with a taken man.
Jason’s wife filed for divorce in October, so maybe Leah has found a kindred soul. If this anonymous source is correct, Jason started dating her friend last May, during his marriage to the mother of his child.
Reddit user ghsted wrote, “Leah is a known cheater so I doubt she cares about dating someone with a SO.”
Tori_007 rebutted, “Yeah but this isn’t even coming from the ex, this is coming from a no one. We have no idea if she knew or not and if she didn’t then people need to be calling him out not her.”
Lakenessmonster agreed, “This girl could be making this up completely. She’s an internet random.”
Even if the accusations of infidelity are false, Leah’s new man seems far from perfect.
