Thank god she's safe!
Recently, it’s become glaringly clear that being a celebrity does not always mean living an entirely safe life. In fact, after Kim Kardashian’s robbery in Paris, many believe that celebrity status can make people more likely to be a victim of crime. Even though the Teen Mom cast seems to live relatively quiet lives compared to A-list celebrities, they have their fair share of close calls as well.
This star experienced this first hand after being the victim of a frightening crime while traveling. Now, she and her family are speaking out about the incident.
Being a victim of a crime can make people feel unsafe and on edge for months afterwards. Unfortunately, it’s something that many people will experience in their lives — even the Teen Mom cast. Now, Farrah Abraham is experiencing this firsthand.
According to TMZ, Farrah Abraham’s Hyundai was stolen while she was at a private residence in Beverly Hills. The thieves made off with her car, but luckily police spotted it later and pulled them over. The three men inside were all arrested and charged with grand theft auto.
So how is it that the thieves were able to make off with Farrah’s car? Well, as it turns out, she left the keys inside! TMZ reports it’s unclear whether the keys were left in the ignition, but either way, it was pretty easy for the thieves to roll out with their new (if temporary) ride.
Ironically enough, Farrah doesn’t seem to be shaken by the crime at all. The only thing that seems to have disturbed her is being caught riding a Hyundai! Luckily, her father Michael was there to set things straight.
“She still has the Maserati,” her dad Michael told Starcasm. “The rental was a loaner because it was in for service and repairs.”
He went on to say this theft was hard on Farrah and Sophia’s tight schedule. “It’s a shame because no one, including Farrah and Sophia, need that type of thing in their lives,” Michael said. “Between being a great single mom, school, extra classes they are both taking, working, and managing her businesses she does not need distractions.” Farrah told TMZ that “some stuff was taken” from her car, but that she’s just happy she and Sophia are safe.
In the meantime, Farrah shouldn’t need to worry about her cars for much longer. That is, if she wins her $5 million lawsuit against MTV!
In the court documents obtained by Radar Online, Farrah claims that MTV and its exectuvies are guilty of “harassing her because [Farrah] did not conform to gender stereotypes, wrongfully terminating her employment because she did not conform to gender stereotypes and terminating her employment in retaliation for complaining about the gender stereotyping harassment she suffered.” She claimed that she has been “harassed, humiliated, discriminated, disrespected, ridiculed, degraded and s*x shamed” at the hands of MTV and Morgan J. Freeman.
