The Teen Mom cast members are no strangers to drug addiction. It took years for many of the cast members to kick their difficult addictions, and some of the ghosts from their pasts continue to haunt them.
It can often seem that we know all there is to know about the cast members, and that all of their dirty secrets have come to the surface. However, it’s safe to say that the majority of Teen Mom fans had no idea that this cast member had an addiction to cocaine.

Just when you think you know it all, the cast members of Teen Mom pull out all of the stops and reveal a secret more shocking than could have possibly been expected. For some, this gives a huge amount of insight into Farrah Abraham’s life.
Farrah’s upbringing was rocky to say the least, as her parents’ relationship and tempers affected her alongside before and during her own pregnancy at the age of 16. As she gets older, more truths about her parents Michael Abraham and Debra Danielsen are coming out, as well as the dangerous and even abusive nature of the household. Fans were completely blindsided by this shocking update about the cocaine addiction that was one of the secrets within the family.
“I had an extremely bad addiction problem in my 20s. It was a cocaine addiction,” Michael revealed to Radar Online. In fact, it got so bad that he needed professional attention. “I had relapsed and I went to rehab.”
His ex-wife Debra mentioned his drug addiction in her book, Vapor. “The big problem in our relationship was that Michael felt disconnected from me because I refused to take illegal drugs that he enjoyed taking,” she wrote. However, while Michael doesn’t deny that he had an addiction, he has revealed that “None of it was when I was married to Debra.”

Michael didn’t reveal much more, probably because he’s holding back for his upcoming tell-all where he will reveal “the good, the bad, and the ugly.”
“It’s going to go back to 16 and Pregnant, to our lives before Teen Mom,” he told Radar. “It’s going to talk about how crazy it was when Farrah got pregnant.”
Michael isn’t the only Abraham who has a history of cocaine use. Farrah also recalled using cocaine in her memoir after her baby daddy Derek died in a car wreck.
“I started crying about Derek to some guy I was kind of into, and everything I had been holding down for months came spewing out of my like vomit,” Farrah wrote. “The next morning I woke up looking and feeling like a mess, and my nose hurt from the coke.”
She went on to say, “I’m not proud of this episode, but it was a good wake up call for me.”
According to Debra, Michael’s drug addiction isn’t the only problem that plagued their marriage. She writes in her memoir that he also cheated on her repeatedly while they were together.
“I demanded fidelity in our relationship. Michael could no longer deal with either one of these positions, which I hold dear to my heart,” Debra wrote. “Michael told me he was sorry for his affairs. He asked for my forgiveness and begged me to reconsider, but I told him I just couldn’t do that anymore,” she reveals in the book. “He has been involved in countless affairs and it wasn’t going to work out.”
