Alex Sekella was an aspiring dancer who found out she was pregnant by her then-boyfriend matt McCann while she was still in high school. When her mother found out that she was pregnant, she revealed that she would no longer support Alex unless she put her child up for adoption.
Alex decided to keep and raise her daughter, Arabella Sekella-McCann. Unfortunately, as is common for the Teen Mom cast members, she didn’t have a very stable baby daddy to rely on.
Matt McCann showed Alex little to no support from the very beginning. At the start of Teen Mom 3, Matt checked into a six month rehab program for his heroin addiction. Although Alex was optimistic that he would clean his act up and be there for her and Arabella, we all know how this story ends.
