The Teen Mom cast members are no strangers to difficulties with the law. From being arrested for assault to stalking to drug offenses, many of the mothers and their friends or exes have experienced being on the wrong side of the law. However, none of the crimes have been as overtly condemnable as molesting an underage child.
Now, one Teen Mom cast member has been linked to that exact crime. Needless to say, it has many fans reeling.

Fans are anxiously awaiting Chelsea Houska’s next pregnancy announcement, but in the meantime, we’ve got a very different kind of update from Chelsea’s camp. One of the star’s good friends just shared that another friend, Britnee Bawek, has announced that she’s expecting a child with her husband. Unfortunately information has surfaced which indicates that there’s something much more sinister underneath this picture perfect family.
It turns out that Britnee’s husband, Alex, has a predatory nature lurking within him. On Dec. 8, he was arrested for “trying to arrange a sexual encounter with a 14-year-old girl” in Altoona according to the Leader Telegram. He has since been charged with “felony counts of use of a computer to facilitate a child sex crime, child enticement and attempted sexual assault of a child younger than 16.”
If there is one small piece of relief in this case, it’s that no 14-year-old girl was ever truly at risk. Instead, Bawek was attempting to seduce an undercover Altoona police officer who was merely posing as a child.
Bawek posted a Craigslist ad looking for a woman or couple who “wanted to have some fun,” according to the criminal complaint as reported by the Leader Telegram. The undercover officer posed as a 14-year-old, and after chatting for a time, they began to discuss having a sexual encounter.

Bawek asked the girl for pictures, and the officer sent images of an underage girl in a bikini. After asking for more sexy pictures, Bawek made plans to meet up with the child at an apartment building. That’s when he was faced with the officer.
At first Bawek claimed he was meeting up with a 16 or 17 year old, but he later admitted that the girl was 14. He admitted to wanting to have sex with the girl, and officers also found condoms in his car.
Bawek now faces up to 65 years in prison as a result of his actions.
In the face of these horrific crimes, many of Chelsea Houska’s fans on Reddit sounded off with their reactions.
“Wow, my heart goes out for Brittnee…” wrote user Letgolaughing. “She must feel terrible about this. I hope she knows that people aren’t judging her for her husband’s actions. Under cover monster.”
User aqueousmartinis wrote, “She already deleted her social media, too 🙁 I can’t imagine finally being pregnant after her struggles with infertility, then this happens. So sickening and disgusting.”
Some even stood up for Chelsea and Britnee during this horrific event. User ann-coultergeist wrote, “FYI, if you think Chelsea or Britnee should have to answer for this guy, you’re a misogynistic piece of s–t who is enabling the man who will likely get off with a slap on the wrist. Neither Chelsea nor Britnee was involved in this.”
