That’s when things between Maci and Ryan got even more tense. Despite Ryan’s frustration and anger, Maci refused to let him spend unsupervised time with Bentley until he passed a drug test. Even though Ryan insisted he was clean, he soon fell off the wagon once again. Right after the season wrapped, Ryan was busted for driving with heroin.
ccording to a citation from Red Bank City Court in Tennessee and published by Radar Online, 30-year-old Ryan Edwards was pulled over at traffic stop because he had an expired tag. One officer noticed that Ryan had an open backpack in the passenger seat with hypodermic needles inside.
“I asked Edwards if he had any medical conditions and he replied, ‘No,’” the citation published by Radar reads. “I then asked why he had a hypodermic needle in his backpack and he replied, ‘I don’t know.’ I told them that the vehicle will be searched and he should inform me if there are more and Edwards replied, ‘Yes, probably.’”
When the vehicle was searched, police found fourteen hypodermic needles in Ryan’s possession. One of them was loaded with heroin, and there was also a “bag tied in the center console with a dark substance inside,” reports Radar. When the police officer asked what it was, Ryan replied, “It’s heroin and I have a problem.”

Officers also found two silver spoons with residue as well as a scale. Ryan was in possession of 1.8 grams of heroin.
Ryan wasn’t arrested, but he was issued a misdemeanor citation for simple possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Legal woes have a way of putting a strain on a relationship, and even though Mackenzie has been dedicated to Ryan from the very beginning, she’s been put through the wringer. Now, many are convinced that they may be divorcing for good.
One of the first clues fans have picked up on is the fact that Mackenzie has quit her Instagram and given it to a Tennessee photographer. “Mackenzie is one of the most selfless/loyal humans I know. As our friendship has grown so has my understanding of the illusion of ‘reality TV,’” the photographer, Christian George, wrote. “Her friendship has been beyond a blessing. I’ll shout it from the rooftops.”
Christian also confirmed that Mackenzie picked up another job. “Side Note: if you need some insurance, hit this girl up,” he wrote.
It’s possible that the Teen Mom money just isn’t making ends meet anymore, but some are convinced this is a sign that Mackenzie has moved up and out. Pair this with the fact that Christian didn’t mention Ryan in any of his Instagram updates, and it doesn’t look good for this couple’s future. But not all fans were convinced.

“Mack SHOULD leave Ryan,” wrote reddit user LeahsEyebrows. “But all things considered, I don’t think she will.” User ToriR90 wrote, “I think Ryan would have to leave her. If a man who has a heroin addiction, restraining orders against him and sits on his a** all day isn’t enough for you to get a clue you should leave then I don’t think anything will.”
User solstince theorized, “She’d NEVER leave him lol at least not any time soon, def not while pregnant She’s doing this SM blackout thing either as a strategy or for attention or both.” User poppsamillion wrote, “I sort of feel like she’s doing this for attention. Nothing makes people more interested in you than not giving them any info. Also, it’s one thing to leave social media and disappear, but she full on handed over her Instagram account to someone who is active and noticeable, and who also knows her and mentions being affiliated with her. And look, it’s working. Everyone is extra curious and talking about her.”
Even though it’s not clear whether Mackenzie is calling it quits or not, she has ample reason to. After all, Ryan has more than just an addiction under his belt. He was also recently caught cheating on Mackenzie! YouTuber The Grace Report was the first to break the news when one of her sources matched with Ryan on Tinder!
