The truth has come out!
You may know that Jenelle Evans’ fiancé David Eason has a criminal record, and has even recently faced more legal repercussions for violation of a protective order. If you’ve been following Jenelle for a while, you know that her track record of dating men with criminal records is pretty long standing. This includes her ex-fiancé, Nathan Griffith, who has faced legal repercussions for domestic violence in the past.
While the event took place a while ago, after the Teen Mom special “Being Nathan” aired, the abuse against Nathan’s ex-girlfriend, Jessica Henry, is coming to light. Considering Nathan just got engaged to another woman, these abuse allegations don’t bode well.

Aggravated Assault

About a year ago, on Aug. 21, 2016, Nathan Griffith was arrested for aggravated assault and burglary. According to a police report obtained by Radar Online, Nathan’s then-girlfriend Jessica Henry “said while she was being choked, she started gagging and was in extreme pain.” It continued, “[The offender] choked her until the point where she could not breathe.”
Mere months later, another warrant for Nathan’s arrest was issued. On Dec. 12, 2016, Jessica accused him of aggravated assault again in a report that read, “The offender got on top of her and began choking her. The victim stated that she started yelling the involved other’s name for help.”
When Being Nathan aired, Nathan insisted that Jessica’s accusations weren’t true, but Jessica had other claims to make. “This was almost every night occurrences,” Jessica said in the special. “There are only two charges out there, but that’s because every single time we called the cops I covered for him. It’s manipulation. He was making me feel like I was the bad person.”
She also recounted the Dec. 12, 2016 incident, saying, “Nate came in the side door. He’s yelling at me, screaming at me. He was on top of me. Then [my roommate] called the cops and finally reported it. I was so grateful she was home. It looks like he can’t control himself.” Jessica said that Nathan’s PTSD and alcohol abuse may have increased his abusive nature.

In addition to speaking on the incidents where she filed formal police reports, she also opened up about a time that Nathan locked her in his closet. “I was in there the entire night,” she explained. “I acted like I was with him just to get out of the closet. I rejected him so he took his fingers and started throwing them down my throat. I lost my voice and felt like I had strep throat for over a week. I was really mind screwed. On the surface it looked good.”
Even though the accusations were discussed on the Being Nathan, Radar Online reports that the charges against Nathan are still pending, according to a clerk from Horry Country Courthouse. They also reported that Nathan has no upcoming court dates scheduled.
As for Nathan, it was recently revealed that he’s set to tie the knot with his girlfriend, 29-year-old Ashley Lanhart. We don’t know much about Ashley, but she is a counselor at a substance abuse treatment center, which might be good, considering Nathan’s history with substance use.
