Matt is great at giving non-apologies
No Anger Involved

Matt kind of apologized, saying, “[What I said] was f**king awful. But it was not anger, it was embarrassment. I wasn’t angry at all, I was embarrassed and only because of the cameras.”
But then he gave everyone a non-apology about his use of the homophobic slur that he called Shawn, and it didn’t really sit well with anyone…

Matt explained, “And the word I used, if anyone think that’s a derogatory term against homosexuality it’s not. Where I grew up that term means something completely different. I meant it as ‘motherf**ker.’ If anyone was offended by it I deeply apologize. What I said was absolutely repulsive.”
Well if anyone was offended, they sure weren’t assuaged by that apology.
