There's definitely two sides to this story
Emotions can run extremely high when a member of the family gets hooked on drugs and forsakes everything just to chase the next high. Ryan’s parents, his ex Maci Bookout, and his brand new wife Mackenzie Standifer were all fearing for his life. In a stunning twist of fate, Ryan Edwards agreed to go to rehab after his intense battle with drugs came to a head. Though he’s out of therapy and feeling healthy, Mackenzie still has a bone to pick with Maci, saying things only got so bad for Ryan because of her.

A Nightmare

In a scary scene on the final episode of Teen Mom OG this season, Maci Bookout’s ex Ryan Edwards drove to his own wedding with Mackenzie Standifer, and he nodded off at the wheel. Mackenzie tried to keep him awake, but she just turned off the cameras in the car rather than get him to pull the car over.
That was the final straw for her. She said, “I told him that I loved him, but I couldn’t sit by and watch him kill himself. And so, when he was ready to get help, to please let me know.” Ryan did enter rehab days later, and he has since returned home.

In the months before Ryan went to rehab, it was obvious to Maci that he was indulging in risky behavior. She often complained about Ryan’s dangerous activities and feared for his life.
Mackenzie said that worrying about him on TV wasn’t helping him. While at the <Teen Mom OG Reunion, Mackenzie said to Maci, “Helping Ryan doesn’t mean talking about all of his problems on national television. It means being supporting, not kicking someone when they’re down, and respecting the privacy that we all so graciously deserve.”
All Your Fault

Although Maci said that she felt those close to Ryan were the ones preventing him from getting help, Mackenzie lays all the blame on Maci, saying, “Maci, you told me to my face, merely days after I had informed you about Ryan seeking help, that you had known about his problem since November. That was 186 days; 400,464 hours; and 267,840 minutes that he could’ve died, and still, you said nothing.”
That’s not all Mackenzie had to say, and Maci was not having it…
