Maci had no problem spilling the truth tea
So many people on the Teen Mom OG and Teen Mom 2 cast have revealed, either deliberately or accidentally, that MTV fudges real scenarios and footage in order to create a story that can fit neatly within a time slot on TV; we all know that reality TV isn’t all that real. But this latest attempt to recreate a real-life scenario for TV was just too much for Maci Bookout to handle, and she had to let us know what actually happened before the cameras rolled.

A few months ago, we were shocked to learn that Maci Bookout’s first baby daddy Ryan Edwards was engaged to his new girlfriend Mackenzie Standifer; they were only dating for a few months before he popped the question.
Mackenzie was a teenage mother as well and was previously married, but her divorce was finalized just six weeks before she became engaged to Ryan.
Good Influence

At first, it seemed unlikely that such a young mom fresh out of a marriage would be a good influence on a habitually-unemployed person living with his parents, but the couple seemed to be pulling each other up. Maci couldn’t be happier for them.
Maci said about Mackenzie, “I had met her son [Hunter] multiple times and I knew how old he was, and I thought she was around my age because of the way she carries herself. She’s very mature. She’s got her head on her shoulders.”

Mackenzie and Ryan set their wedding for November 2017 in the same church his parents were married in. But before they made those plans, they had to let Maci and Bentley know what was going on.
Maci explained, “[Mackenzie] called me and told me, and Bentley was going to their house the next day. And she was super excited when she called me. She told me not to tell Bentley because they planned to tell him in person the next day. It was a tough secret to keep because I wanted to be excited with him, but obviously, it wasn’t my place to tell him.”
