Kailyn Lowry Puts Her Mother On Blast: 'She's Fake!'

Pretty much everyone has some reason or another to be upset with the way that their parents raised them.

In Kailyn Lowry‘s case, it’s pretty much impossible to fault her for being upset with how her mother treated her growing up.

Much of her mother’s bad behavior was captured by the Teen Mom 2 cameras, but a lot more took place behind the scenes. Now, Kailyn is getting real about what went down.

This past season of Teen Mom 2, Kailyn has been getting real about her relationship with her mother – or lack thereof.

After her grandmother passed, Kailyn’s mother reached out to her for the first time in quite a while.

“I’m actually shocked you are calling me right now because I actually didn’t know if you were dead or alive,” Kailyn told her mother.

“You don’t get to just pop up whenever you feel like it and you don’t get to call whenever you feel like it and you don’t get to send gifts whenever you feel like it,” she said. “You don’t get to do that!”

During a fight with Jo, Kail also made it clear that her parents are both virtually dead to her.

“Jo and me got into a huge fight. When I was leaving the funeral, he was texting me horrible things, like he doesn’t leave Isaac with anyone but blood family,” Kailyn told her friend. “And I was like, ‘Literally I don’t have blood family. I don’t have a mom, I don’t have a dad, I don’t have these people so your point?’’

But much more took place off camera, and now Kailyn is sharing the truth.

Kailyn opened up about her mother being “fake” during an episode of her podcast, Coffee Convos.

“I only remember in my entire school life – like you know, how when parents have to go to the conference, we would have to sit outside the classroom when they talked – so I only remember my mom going to a parent-teacher conference once in my whole existence,” she said.

“I don’t even know if my mom ever went. My mom never kept up with this sh-t,” she spilled. “I felt like it was such a scam and that it was super fake, and that she didn’t actually care about my school and then she’d punish me.”
