Is she moving on?
By this point, the Teen Mom cast members have been reality stars for years and years. For most of them, it’s essentially their full time jobs. No matter how much you love seeing your favorite stars struggle with motherhood (or your least favorite stars getting into bigger and bigger drama), all good things have to come to an end someday. After all, most people probably wouldn’t watch a show called “Middle Aged Mom.”
The cast members have all considered what they want to do after the show. Some will focus on motherhood, others will put more work into their businesses, and some — well, Farrah — will probably live in reality notoriety for the rest of her days. For Kailyn Lowry, she’s always been very clear about her plan when the show comes to an end. Now, it looks like her time on the show might be closer than we thought.
Kailyn has opened up about her plans for post-reality stardom: getting involved in television production! It looks like she’s well on her way to doing just that. She’s just announced her new show!

Kailyn Lowry is the only person in the Teen Mom franchise to have earned a four-year bachelor’s degree, and she won’t let anyone forget it. Her degree is in communications, and she’s always said that when her time on Teen Mom ends, she sees a future in television production. (She’s certainly had a long time to see the ins and outs of how a TV show is made.)
That said, fans probably didn’t expect her to get her career underway so quickly! She’s just announced that she’s working on a new television show and has already filmed the pilot of her show!
“I filmed a pilot with one of my friends back in March so I am hoping to edit that and try to get it out there,” Kailyn said in an interview with Radar Online. “I want to pitch it and see what happens.”
So what exactly is her show about? Well, Kailyn went with what she knows. “It’s a TV show about working moms with a spin to it,” she said.

In addition to these plans, Kailyn has also revealed that she is going back to school! She says that she’s hoping to earn her Master’s degree, but she isn’t sure when. “I just don’t know when,” she said. “It depends on the kids and where I’m at. I don’t know exactly for what yet either.”
In the meantime, fans are still wondering what’s going on with Kailyn’s most recent son, Baby Lo’s name! “I have not filled out legal paperwork yet,” she opened up. “There is always room for me to change my mind on the name. That’s why I haven’t announced it yet. But once I do fill out the paper work I’m going to announce it. It’s not a family name or anything like that. It’s something I stumbled across over the years and it kind of always was in the back of my mind.”
