This may be our last season with Jenelle!
Although there have been some sincerely tense moments concerning Jenelle and her now-husband David Eason, last night’s episode portrayed a relationship that has fans concerned for the star’s safety. From David denying that he fought with Jenelle a day earlier like she claimed to his handling of Kaiser, fans have become increasingly upset. They’re even circulating the hashtag “#SaveKaiser” on Twitter.
However, Jenelle seems to have a completely different take on things. She has taken to her social media accounts to express the way she feels she’s been misrepresented on the show. She also let fans know that this might just be the straw that breaks the camel’s back. Jenelle has just announced she won’t be returning for the next season of Teen Mom 2.
The Episode in Question
Before last night’s episode of Teen Mom 2 aired, Jenelle Evans was already clearly frustrated with the editing. The star took to Twitter to reveal that someone had tipped her off she might not be particularly happy with the episode. “Love how my director calls me to give me a heads up that tomorrow’s episode is going to be highly edited from a ‘friend’ I don’t speak to,” she wrote.
Although it’s not the first time Jenelle has tweeted about an upcoming episode, it became clear this was no ordinary “bad editing” tantrum. Rather than just call out the network, producers, or directors, Jenelle took thinggs one step further ―she completely deleted her Twitter.
When the episode aired, it became clear what Jenelle was concerned about. We got a look at what happened behind-the-scenes of Jenelle and David’s adorable save-the-date picture… though when the producers showed up to film the photo shoot the first time, they were sent off of the property.
“He’s arguing for hours,” Jenelle told a producer in a text. “This is bull s**t, he keeps putting me down. He won’t stop.”
Soon after, the producers were told to leave. “David said ‘if you don’t leave my house you will be escorted by police,’” a producer explained. “’You will have five minutes before I call.’” Another producer chimed in, “Now he’s saying he’s going to call the police on us?”
The producers returned the next day, and Jenelle told them that the fight was simply because they were both in “a bad mood.” Meanwhile, David insisted that they had never fought in the first place.
“We weren’t fighting,” David said while Jenelle fed Ensley without speaking. “Who told you that? Were we fighting yesterday? Nope, you’re lying. Everything is great around here. You don’t have to worry about problems.”
“Not Human Beings”
When the episode aired, many people took to Twitter to discuss their reactions to the footage. Jenelle instead turned to Instagram to share her reaction ― including the fact that she now plans to leave the show at the end of this season. The star wrote:
“Yes, me and David have our ups and downs, but yesterday’s episode was uncalled for. Because David didn’t feel like explaining another argument or drama on camera they make it look as if David is hiding some weird a** sh*t from the public as if he was hurting me in some way?!
I have decided after this season I’m probably calling it quits for filming this show. I told Morgan it’s getting to [sic] out of hand and it’s not healthy for us anymore, just harming us mentally. They treat all of us as if we are in a freak show and in cages. WE aren’t human beings to @mtv what-so-ever.”
She included images of her with and without marks on her arm, saying that someone had photoshopped them.
“The first screenshot of the custody episode someone posted photoshopping a hand mark on my arm. The other screenshots are pictures I’ve taken myself from the same episode… and there aren’t any hand marks. Once they treat me with respect I’ll be back, if they don’t I’ll be happy with the life I’ve got. I told them this last night.”
She added, “#MarriedLife #MIA.”
She also posted screen caps of a conversation she had with two of the producers on the show, Larry and Morgan, about Kaiser’s speech problems and her dissatisfaction with the editing on the show.
“You guys are making my marriage look like it’s one big f**king joke so thanks. Don’t expect me to contact you back when u want me to film again cuz this is ridiculous… none of you even speaking to me about this?!” one of the messages read.
Calling it Quits
Larry replied, “Hey. I had surgery and waking up from being asleep. Looks like you are speaking with Morgan about this. But I am here for you. And always have been and had your back.”
“No you aren’t. I sent u the document,” Jenelle replied, referring to a document from a speech therapist which reads: “We would like to inform you that this letter is being sent to notify [you that Kaiser]… would benefit from further speech and language evaluation.” She followed it all up by sharing conversations with a slew of producers and crew members that showed that they were aware for Kaiser’s situation.
After posting all of these conversations, Jenelle added more of her own thoughts to the caption. She wrote:
“MTV has done a great job this time. I watched last nights episode at 2pm yesterday afternoon and have been very upset ever since. I deactivated my accounts mainly because I don’t want to even begin to read the comments. Here are the texts of me explaining that subtitling my son when he has speech therapy isn’t right at all, but MTV feels the need to keep it in their story and out the subtitle in ‘feed me.,
I’ve blocked all my producers numbers. I will not stand for the negative s**t anymore. I’ll be off social media for a while to be focusing on solely my family.”
