Did she go too far?
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but sometimes things turn from opinions into hate. We’ve seen this happen time and time again in Teen Mom, and normally it ends in huge fights between cast members. This time, though, Jenelle Evans is fighting with fans.
Jenelle’s husband David Eason was recently fired for sharing his bigoted opinions across social media. Now, fans are seeing similar behavior in Jenelle herself! Many are calling on MTV to fire Jenelle after she shared transphobic viewpoints.
Even though the Teen Mom cast members have shared some very unpopular viewpoints on social media in the past, MTV never fired them for it… until recently. After going on a homophobic rant, Jenelle Evans’ husband David Eason was booted off of the show.
“Lmao why don’t you go tell the homo and transgender parents to start teaching their kids better morals? Oh I forgot thats supposed to be normal,” David wrote in a recent tweet.
When one fan asked, “Who are you to say what’s normal or what’s moral? Are you going to teach your children to hate gay and transgender people?” David revealed that he plans to raise Jace, Kaiser, Ensley, and Maryssa to be homophobic and bigoted.
“No, Im going to teach them not to associate with them or be that way…” he said. “If you lay down with dogs you get up with fleas.”
Shortly after, MTV took action. “David Eason’s personal comments do not reflect the views of MTV. With six weeks left of production on ‘Teen Mom 2,’ effective immediately, we are ending our relationship with him,” read a statement by MTV released Feb. 20, 2018.
Now it’s seems Jenelle may be on a strikingly similar path to David.
Jenelle and David have been facing off with fans and co-stars after David mommy shamed his former co-star Leah Messer. After that, Jenelle took to social media to defend her husband.
In the midst of the conversations, Instagram user @badgirlangie wrote, “Transphobia looks great on you :)” They expanded by saying, “her and her husband are transphobic. In case you didn’t know, google it…i really don’t care what she has to say about what she thinks about me based on my instagram. What i said about her is based on facts… again, google it…. Xoxo.”
Jenelle responded to the fan by writing, “Being feminine doesn’t suit you too much.”
