Boy or girl?!
Announcing a pregnancy is an exciting moment for anyone, especially if you’re no longer a teenager! Even though Amber Portwood has admitted that her second pregnancy was not planned, she seems thrilled about the new addition to her family, who she’ll be bringing into the world with her boyfriend Andrew Glennon.
Sharing the good news of a pregnancy with others often leads to the next logical question: Do you know the gender?
All of the Teen Mom girls have had their own philosophies about gender reveals. Kailyn Lowry refused to learn the gender of any of her children until the moment they were born, while Chelsea Houska knew, but didn’t want MTV to find out until the last moment. On the other hand, Jenelle Evans was happy to share that she was expecting a little girl when she found out that Ensley would be her first.
But Amber Portwood has never done things the conventional way. Now, fans are wondering if she knows the gender of her child, and if it has recently been subtly announced… or even leaked!

Girl or Boy?

Much of the Teen Mom fanbase was completely blindsided when Amber Portwood officially confirmed her pregnancy. Amber has never discussed having more children, and it seemed to be largely off of her radar while she was dating Matt Baier. After finally dumping Matt, Amber found happiness in the arms of another: Marriage Boot Camp crew member Andrew Glennon. Despite his lengthy criminal history, Amber seems to be head over heels in love with him, and the two are expecting their first child as a couple.
Amber has been showing off her baby bump, but she’s still pretty early along in her pregnancy. But now fans are wondering the big question any new mother will likely face: is it a girl or a boy?
Aside from his criminal record, not much is known about Amber’s baby daddy. She has confirmed that he will be appearing in the upcoming season of Teen Mom OG, but until then, fans are turning to the one outlet they can find of him: his social media. Although Andrew’s Instagram is currently set to private, one Reddit user with access noticed a recent post that seemed to reveal something.

Reddit user sweetp0tat0fingers posted this screencap of a post on Andrew’s Instagram. It features a baby sitting on the shoulders of a gorilla underneath the words “Baby’s Day Out” — the poster for a 1994 movie. They commented, “Andrew, Amber’s new man posted this random picture… gender reveal??? Hmmmm?????” They added, “Just speculating because he rarely posts and I think Amber is far enough along to find out now. The one comment said ‘I hope you’re having a boy.’… He rarely posts anything ever and this was random as hell.”
But not everyone was so convinced. “I think it’s just a joke about the movie + him having a kid,” wrote user zuesk134. “I think he probably posted it because he likes the movie, not as a reveal for the baby’s sex,” wrote twelvedayslate. User Hungovah even wrote, “I think you’re reading far too much into this. Also how is this a gender reveal?!”
Amber hasn’t spoken out about her baby’s gender quite yet, but we’re optimistic she’ll share the gender the moment she knows — if Andrew didn’t just leak it!
