Not Happy!
Becoming a parent for the first time is a difficult transition for anyone, especially if they didn’t plan on having a child. For the Teen Mom cast members, they’re used to being mothers — but for some of their baby daddies, they have to face the difficulty of becoming a parent with no experience.
That said, these new fathers have a different set of difficulties than most. In addition to navigating how to care for and raise a newborn, they have to do all of that while all of their choices — and mistakes — are in the public for all to see.
Maybe Chris should have taken that more into account before he took to Twitter today. What he may have thought was a harmless joke has fans (and maybe Kailyn) very upset.

Chris Lopez was faced with an unexpected life change when he learned that he was going to be a father earlier this year. It’s not an uncommon situation for a man to find himself in, but for Chris, there was a twist. Instead of simply having to become a father, he also became a reality star virtually overnight.
It’s clear that Chris isn’t interested in the spotlight at all, having refused to film for Teen Mom 2 since day one. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t have a huge following, though. Many people have turned to Chris’s social media accounts to get insight on his side of the story when it comes to raising Lux. It’s a great way for fans to catch adorable pictures of him and Lux, and it also shows times when he’s upset with Kailyn. However, in times like these, it also gives them reasons to get upset with him!
Chris took to Twitter, like many others, to reflect upon the kind of year he had in 2017. However, he decided to make a joke about his sudden fatherhood, writing, “Random thought… My pull out game was super weak this last year.”
Fans were incensed at Chris making a joke about the way that Lux was conceived, especially making it very clear that he was unplanned. “Like dude, why you gotta say that about your kid (basically) on social media? You don’t have only two followers and your baby mom’s a reality tv show ‘star,’” wrote Reddit user MaybeTennessee. Twitter user @rachelgraace mourned, “Lux will see this one day, breaks my heart.”

Fans were also upset that Chris (and Kailyn) continue to joke about the “pull out method” which is an extremely unreliable form of birth control. Reddit User andi54321 wrote “Of all the BC methods available, they use the one from the stone age ?,” and user quoidonc pointed out, “You know, the website itsyoursexlife.org that is advertised on literally every episode of the show about teen pregnancy that Kail’s on has a lot to say about the pull out method.”
User hufflepuffle pointed out, “Kail is liking all the comments bashing Chris for that tweet. Looks like she didn’t find it funny. But wasn’t she on tv saying how Chris is a big boy and he should know how to pull out?”
User brittany16691 chimed in, “Regardless of her saying that, him joking about it when he got a beautiful baby boy because his ‘pullout game is weak’ is not okay. Just be grateful you have an adorable son out of it and stop being an immature asshole.”
