The rumors have been confirmed
For Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra, it seems that life really isn’t pulling any punches this season of Teen Mom OG. After suffering suicidal thoughts, Catelynn checked herself into a treatment program, and then checked back in after only a few weeks of being out of the facility. Between supporting his father in rehab for drug addiction, parenting Nova on his own, and confronting his own mental health problems, Tyler has his hands more than full as well. It seemed that this couple had more than their share of difficulties in recent months, but life has dealt them yet another hardship.
After weeks of rumors, the Baltierras have just confirmed what many fans believed: that Catelynn recently suffered a miscarriage.
For as much hardship as they were going through, fans were relieved a few weeks ago when Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra announced some exciting news. Cameras were rolling while Catelynn revealed to Tyler that she was pregnant with her third child, and fans were beyond thrilled. Finally, it looked like the Baltierras were catching a lucky break.
Unfortunately, rumors began to swirl that they were faced with another difficulty. Fans were devastated when sources revealed that Catelynn had a miscarriage, but fans weren’t going to believe it until it came from Catelynn and Tyler themselves. Now, this couple seems to be confirming that the rumors are true.
In a sneak peek for next week’s episode, Tyler and Catelynn can be seen breaking down in tears. Then Tyler reveals what it is they’re so heartbroken about: “I really wanted that baby,” he says. In the clip, Catelynn can be seen in a car crying hysterically. It seems that the what an inside source indicated to The Ashley’s Reality Roundup was true.
“It is actually really sad,” the source revealed. “Catelynn got pregnant and surprised Tyler and Nova and then had a miscarriage not long after. That happened right before she went to treatment [in November] when she tweeted about thinking about killing herself.”
They went on, “The crew and production staff heard she was about six weeks pregnant when it happened, but no one is 100% sure.”
What’s worse is that Catelynn had to relive the experience as she went forward with filming. “Catelynn had to talk about trying to get pregnant and then getting pregnant even after she had the miscarriage. We felt badly for her,” the source said. They revealed that details should be coming soon, saying that the miscarriage “is definitely going to be a big topic on the show.”
