Jenelle Evans needs to be super extra careful right now. She’s set to appear in court next month to argue about why she should finally have sole custody of her first born child Jace, after her mother Barbara has raised him for the past seven years. Barbara doesn’t seem ready to entrust Jenelle with Jace so she’s going to throw every bit of bad information about Jenelle in the courtroom. If Babs is speaking to her ex-husband Courtland Rogers about the times when they did drugs together, Jenelle’s case could be closed pretty quickly.

Jenelle is happy in love with her fiancé David Eason, so it’s easy to forget that she was actually married before; it didn’t last long. Jenelle got hitched to a man named Courtland Rogers on December 4th, 2012.
Jenelle and Courtland used drugs together; they were arrested when they were found to be in possession of heroin in April 2013. Afterwards, Jenelle got clean and couldn’t be around his continued drug use. They were officially divorced in Summer 2014, but they were separated one year before that.

Now that Jenelle has been in a stable, sober relationship for a year, she’s ready to fight tooth and nail to win custody of her first child Jace from her mother Barbara.
But someone may be working to stop that arrangement from happening.

“If you have any association with my ex, please don’t follow me or try to befriend me. You’re crazy,” Jenelle said on Twitter, after she found out that her own mother was found to be talking to none other than her ex-husband Courtland, a person that she’s had little to no contact with for years.
