Kailyn is no stranger to pregnancy complications as both Isaac and Lincoln presented their own unique challenges to the mother of three. Now she’s opening up about her unique experience delivering Baby Lo. “Let me start off by saying, both Isaac and Lincoln had pretty long labors. Isaac’s at 13 hours and Lincoln’s at 16 hours. The doctors (among others) always said after the first child, labors are generally shorter and get easier. But with my history being second was longer and harder, in my head I was predicted labor with Baby Lo would be at least 10 hours… so long but shorter than the other two,” Kail wrote.
Needless to say, she was anxious about the pregnancy. On the night that she went into labor, she had friends over. They had dinner, played cards, and were just settling in to watch TV when she felt and heard something… and opens up about the graphic details.
She writes, “It was my mucus plug… literally heard it and felt it, WHAT THE ACTUAL F**K.” So she reached out to Chris to let him know what was going on. She says, “I call Chris to let him know what’s happening and that if my water breaks or anything else I’ll keep him posted. And sure enough, MINUTES later… my water breaks.” She writes, “Water starts breaking at the top of my stairs and contractions are instantly 3 mins apart… consistently. I get out of the shower and the rest of my water smacks on the floor…….. Coooool.”
Rushing to the Hospital

Things got so real so quickly that her friends were shocked at the turn of events. “At this point, my friend Bone is sitting on my bed, like here for moral support or whatever, and I happened to look over. The scream looking emoji was the best way I can describe the look on her face,” she writes.
She was surprised at how quickly things were moving along. “We’ve called the doctor and haven’t heard back yet. Call again and he finally calls back saying go to the hospital now… I literally say NOW?!?!?!? Here I am thinking I have a good 10 hours.” In fact, it happened so quickly that, for a moment, she thought she might have to deliver Baby Lo in the car! “My friend Rachel is in the back seat for moral support and is looking both ways while we run 3 red lights. So it’s 2:24 AM and I’m like omg I have to push. So if we get pulled over right now, I’m basically giving birth in the car,” she writes.

From there, things only got faster and more harried. She writes, “Last thing I hear is ‘I NEED HELP’ from the nurse who literally I just dilated in her hand lmao… I said ‘I CANNOT DO THIS WITHOUT MEDS.” But things were moving too quickly. She writes, “All the sudden I feel my body almost like curl up into a ball and then I turned into super saiyan, as chris said, and like sprawl out, arch my back and the nurses are yelling now chin to chest and baby was out after 2 pushes. 3 am on the dot.”
Luckily Chris was there, because he seemed to stabilize the experience for her. “I look at Chris and it’s like he was STILL while everything else was moving in fast motion around him.” And then, as quickly as it began, Baby Lo was born. Kailyn writes, “They put baby on my chest and ask ‘do you want to know what you had?’ I’m in tears, and say yes! ‘IT’S A BOY!’”
She concludes, “i’m crying, I cannot believe how much hair he has. Literally everything, from start to finish was 2 hours.”
