Is this the end of Jordan's freedom?
Although the most interesting and popular girls featured on 16 and Pregnant went on to have a role on Teen Mom, it doesn’t mean that those who didn’t fell off the face of the earth. Now and then, these girls still resurface when significant things go on in their lives, and in the age of social media, it’s easy to follow their lives.
Lately, Jordan Cashmyer has been in the limelight once again. Unfortunately, it hasn’t been for particularly good reasons. Although she’s had ups and downs, this recent update about Jordan’s arrest status makes it seem that she’s facing more difficulty than her MTV counterparts.

Jordan Cashmyer retained a following after her appearance on MTV’s 16 and Pregnant. She kept her fanbase updated via her personal blogposts, where she opened up about her drug use as a result of postpartum depression. She reassured fans that things were looking up for her, but it wasn’t long before something indicated just the opposite.
Things took a turn for the worse when a fan spotted Jordan on an app that escorts used to advertise their services. A screenshot of her profile on the app started circulating the internet, with Reddit users pointing out that things are even worse than they seem. User TieDyeRehabHoodie wrote, “She looks so frail and unhealthy. Her socks are so dirty. This poor girl :(“ NotNowJustMeow pointed out, “If you look at he screen shots someone posted; her ad says ‘party friendly’, in the escorting world this means she will do drugs with you.”
Unfortunately, this was soon followed by a relapse into drug use. According to Radar Online, Jordan was charged with possession of marijuana and three counts of possession of drug paraphernelia.
According to the police report, “Defendant Cashmyer stated that she was sleeping and must not have heard her phone ringing. While talking to the Defendant, Officer Muska observed a clear hypodermic syringe under the sink in the bathroom to his right.” Jordan later admitted to the police that she had used narcotics while she was at the hotel, then she handed over the drugs and paraphernelia that she had.

The report continued, “The black bag contained three clear pipes containing a burnt residue of a white powdered substance. The burnt residue in the clear pipes [are] consistent with crack cocaine… The clear pipes are used to inhale narcotics. The hypodermic syringes are used to inject heroin. The spoon is used to burn/prepare heroin.”
Only 15 days later, Jordan had a similar encounter with the police. She was again arrested on two counts of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Similarly to the first case, Jordan’s boyfriend contacted the police when he discovered she was locked inside of her room and was unresponsive.
“[Her boyfriend] advised that Defendant Cashmyer had a past history of using heroin and he was concerned that she may have overdosed inside of the location,” the police report read. “Cashmyer was naked and went into the bathroom to put on clothes. She appeared to be under the influence of narcotics.”

Some assumed that this meant the end of Jordan’s freedom, and that she would soon be arrested for her drug use. However, Radar reports that Jordan was not prosecuted after being arrested on June 30th.
However, for her arrest on June 15th, she will be facing repercussions. According to Radar, a clerk for the District Court of Maryland revealed that Jordan “is on probation until March 5, 2019. She must submit to alcohol and drug testing.”
As for Jordan herself, she seems optimistic about her future despite this update. She took to Twitter recently, writing, “A lot of people are confused on what’s been going on in my life. Not that it is majority of anyone’s business, I just want to clear some things up for the sake of my family and those who were truly concerned.”
She wrote, “I was NEVER missing, the people who posted that were people who ONLY did that for their own benefit. My father and mother (stepmom so no one is confused) were in contact with me and have been part of my recovery everyday.”
“I am currently working on myself and my recovery, and am actually very happy with my life right now,” she concluded. “There is one thing missing and that will come over time….my baby girl and a good coparenting relationship with her father.”
This update has fans relieved for Jordan, as well as her three-year-old daughter, Genevieve.
