Everyone remembers the first time that they became intimate with someone. A lot of the time, it involves some anxiety, some learning curves, and a lot of awkwardness.Teen Mom‘s Jenelle Evans’ experience though? It wasn’t what you would expect from someone who was pregnant by sixteen years old.
Jenelle has yet to launch her new memoir, Read Between the Lines: From the Diary of a Teenage Mom, but she’s been teasing us with some snippets here and there. As part of this, she’s decided to open up about the first time someone asked her to sleep with them and the emotional effects it had on her.
If you know anything about Jenelle, it’s the fact that she’s really not too tight-lipped about anything. It doesn’t take much to set her off, and when you do, she doesn’t hold a single thing back.
She’s been pretty open about her past, from her multiple pregnancies to her custody battles to her substance abuse. But now that she’s working on a memoir, she’s going through more and more memories that she’s ready to share with the public, including the first time that someone asked to sleep with her.
The First Time
Even though Jenelle was obviously sexually active as a teenager, the first encounter she had with sex was different from what you’d expect. E! News got a sneak peak of Jenelle’s writings about the experience.
As it turns out, Jenelle turned him down. She writes, “He looked at his feet and didn’t say much else on the way home. His grip on my hand slipped away. I had disappointed him by turning down his offer.”
Jenelle adds that, even though the guy she turned down was disappointed, she doesn’t regret deciding not to sleep with him. According to E!, she wrote, “I didn’t need someone in my life that would pressure me for sex. When I was ready for it, I would choose who I wanted and when.”
Unfortunately, the first time she did have sex, she discovered something strange about herself.
