Jenelle Keeps Ensley After Divorce Announcement

Right now, Jenelle Evans is going through what every married woman dreads: divorce proceedings.

The news broke last week that Jenelle and her husband David Eason have filed for a divorce. This came after months of rumors that she and David were separated, but when the divorce announcement came, fans everywhere were shocked.

It took some time for the shockwaves to make their way through the fanbase, and there’s still endless speculation about the ex-couple’s motivations and where things will go from here.

But after the initial shock, there are still massive questions that need to be answered about the practical matters of the divorce itself: like who will get their shared daughter, Ensley?

“I’ve mostly kept off social media the past few days because I’ve been focused on making some big life decisions,” Jenelle Evans revealed on Instagram last week.

“I’ve lived my life on camera since I was 17 years old. And a lot of it hasn’t been pretty. But its been my life,” she continued. “Like anyone else I want what’s best for my kids and I want to be happy. With time away from Teen Mom I’ve started to look at my life differently and I know I need to make changes.

“I’m starting that now,” she wrote. Jenelle then continued to explain what is happening with her family.

Nobody gets into a marriage expecting it to end but I know that’s what is best for me, and for my kids.
Today I’ve filed papers to start that process.
I appreciate the support from everybody who has asked how I am. Me and the kids are doing great. We need some time to be together. But you’ll hear from us again soon.

In addition to Jenelle’s post, TMZ reported that sources say Jenelle is partially motivated to protect her children and her career. They also report that Jenelle has decided she doesn’t want to participate in a marriage that is unhealthy for her and her children.

Now, it seems that Jenelle will be demanding full custody of her daughter Ensley.

According to TMZ, Jenelle currently has Ensley in the wake of the divorce filing, and she wants to keep it that way.

The site reports that Jenelle “believes she’s the more fit parent of the two, based on David’s troubling history.”

Luckily, when it comes to Jenelle’s two other children, Kaiser and Jace, David will have not a trace of legal rights to see them.

In the meantime, Jenelle seems to have fled the state of North Carolina and The Land, and is now staying in Tennessee.

A source revealed to Radar that David “doesn’t know where she is.” The source added, “He didn’t know anything about this. He thinks she’s around town but she’s not and she’s not going to go back until he’s gone. He thinks she’s just gone for a couple of days.”
