Now that Catelynn Lowell has returned home from her rehabilitation and treatment center, she’s finally back to interacting with fans across her various social media platforms. She’s been sharing inspirational quotes, news about the show, and updates about her family and loved ones. Fans are happy to have her back and relieved that she’s feeling better, but this recent update has alarmed even Catelynn’s die-hard fans.
Catelynn shared a bizarre image of her daughter, Nova, without any clothes on — but there’s something more strange about the photo that has many of her fans uncomfortable. Now, Catelynn is taking the heat for her choice.

Everyone has their own unique way of parenting, but being a celebrity mother adds a huge amount of pressure to every decision. The Teen Mom cast has been criticized for their every move, including some pretty personal choices. But Catelynn Lowell‘s recent share was a very public decision that made some fans very uncomfortable.

The Teen Mom OG star shared this picture of her daughter, Nova, playing in their home. There’s just one thing missing: Nova’s shirt! It’s not uncommon for children to run around the home without clothes on, but Catelynn is being criticized for her decision to share a picture of her daughter unclothed with her millions of followers. What’s more bizarre is that Catelynn chose to censor the image by adding two red heart emojis over Nova’s chest. She innocently captured the shot, “Someone’s excited to paint some eggs!”
Many fans were uncomfortable with Catelynn’s shot. “If you’re questioning if you should censor a picture of your child because they’re not fully clothed, just don’t share the picture,” wrote reddit user constantreader55.
“Especially with such a large audience. Their whole lives are played out publicly, why not save some things just for their family?” User snarkyshan agreed, “LARGE AUDIENCE is the key word here. You’d like to think that putting a picture out of a topless toddler isn’t a huge deal… but people are PERVERTS. You have no control over who sees your picture, how it gets shared and HOW it will be viewed.”
Forget the Haters!

Not everyone agreed. “She is adorable. No shirt required for all the haters. She is loved and cared for and the sickos will be sickos regardless,” wrote Instagram user @tootie__83. @ladyturner083014 agreed, “Very cute indeed.@catelynnmtv please don’t take the haters hate [to] heart this pic is so innocent and pure happiness much love to you and your family.”
Catelynn has yet to comment on the controversy — not a surprise, considering she has her hands full with other concerns! After returning from treatment, she and Tyler Baltierra are adjusting their plans for having another child.
