This time about a year ago, it seemed that Amber Portwood had totally turned her life around and was on the right track. She had turned away from her past of substance abuse and had just given birth to her second child, James, who she would be raising with her second baby daddy, Andrew Glennon.
Well, we all know how that turned out.
Amber was recently hit with charges for domestic battery against Andrew Glennon after she attacked him in their home. Since then, it’s been up in the air whether she’ll be returning to the show. But now Amber is making it clear that she needs some time away.

Although some resilient fans defend her, it’s no wonder that most Teen Mom viewers are totally done with Amber Portwood, and her legal charges reflect this. However, she had some charges dismissed as well.
She was sentenced to 910 days in county jail, which seems like a lot… until you discover that only 906 of those days were suspended, meaning that she’s essentially on home probation. For the remaining four days, she got a two day credit for time served. That means she only has to serve two days in jail.

It’s no surprise that many fans think Amber got off easy, but they’re not the only one. Andrew also recently spoke out about the update.
“Still no apology [from Amber] but that’s OK,” Andrew told The Ashley’s Reality Roundup. “You can lead a horse to water but you can’t force them to have a heart and apologize for kicking you in the short ribs because they were startled by their own ghosts.”

It’s clear that Amber’s life is in turmoil right now, and some fans think that she’s making it worse for herself. She’s been going on lengthy rants on Instagram Live, and has even sparked rumors of breaking her own probation when she threatened a YouTuber for leaking videos of her attacks!
Amber has even invited fans to tell her to get off of Instagram live when she streamed, because apparently crowdsourcing willpower is a thing now.
