Normally when a Teen Mom cast member gets married, it seems like the entire world hears about it. Considering the amount of scandal, drama, and fighting that often accompanies the stars’ big days, they’re normally quite the spectacle. This Teen Mom couple decided to go for quite the opposite and get married in secret without letting anyone in the fanbase know!
They went from in a relationship to being man and wife, and now fans are waiting to see if they can make it last!

Normally when couples get married, it means they’re committing to being together forever. Of course, the Teen Mom cast operates on a bit of a different timeline. We’ve seen many marriages start and end over the years, with some of them lasting less than a year. That doesn’t mean they’re all doomed, though, and this one could last forever.
Jenelle Evans and David Eason celebrated a rustic wedding on their land at the end of last season of Teen Mom 2 . But Jenelle has been engaged and married multiple times in the past, including a short engagement to her baby daddy Nathan Griffith. Their breakup was more of a showdown than anything, but Jenelle isn’t the only one who moved on with someone new. She’s also not the only one who got married to her new bae!

Nathan posted a huge update on his Facebook page: he has just gotten married to his longtime girlfriend, Ashley Lanhardt! As of yet he hasn’t shared any pictures from the ceremony, so it could have been a huge affair or a simple court date — but the new couple seems to be very happy. That doesn’t mean that Jenelle — or Teen Mom fans — are as happy!
“He should have gotten sober instead and began therapy but what the [h*ll] do I know I guess,” wrote reddit user feralfarrah. User zeusk134 wrote, “oh ashley, yikes. what a mistake.”
And many fans are also theorizing that Jenelle is fuming over this update. “Instead of wishing them well (like even Nathan did when she got married) Jenelle is going to talk sh*t on them in 3,2,1…” wrote user hawkcarhawk. Twitter user @glasgowghirideb even wrote, “Not Nathan’s biggest fan but this will totally p*ss Jenelle off because we all know it was Nate she wanted to marry not Dave.”

Of course, there may be a reason that Nathan didn’t publicly announce his wedding or share any pictures. It’s quite possible that he didn’t actually get married!
“Honestly i bet he didn’t [get married],” wrote reddit user orangepeeling. “I doubt they tied the knot. He’s referred to her as his wife in social media posts before too, and then referred to her as gf in another one.”
But there’s one big reason Nathan might want to get married (other than the pursuit of undying love, of course): his son, Kaiser. His being married could make it easier for her to gain more custody of Kaiser in court, as many fans pointed out. “They can go for custody of Kai. If Nathan can stay out of trouble,” wrote Twitter user @a6a250e936ac4c7.
