Jenelle Evans broke the news that she would be divorcing David Eason on Oct. 31. She shared the update on Instagram, explaining a bit of what happened to make them call it off.
“I’ve mostly kept off social media the past few days because I’ve been focused on making some big life decisions,” she began.
“I’ve lived my life on camera since I was 17 years old. And a lot of it hasn’t been pretty. But its been my life,” she continued. “Like anyone else I want what’s best for my kids and I want to be happy. With time away from Teen Mom I’ve started to look at my life differently and I know I need to make changes.
“I’m starting that now,” she wrote.
But just as quickly as Jenelle announced her divorce, fans started in on the conspiracy theories.
After all, Jenelle does have a motive for faking her divorce. Not only would this publicity put her back into the media and grab countless headlines — which it definitely did — but this might be a way for her to get re-hired by MTV, which largely severed ties with her due to David shooting their family dog, Nugget.
Then again, she does have countless reasons to divorce him, including the fact that he shot their family dog, Nugget.
So why do fans think this new photo proves that their divorce was faked all along?
David Eason has been very active on social media since the divorce announcement, perhaps because of all of the free time he has now that he’s single.
One of his recent updates was a photo of him standing in front of a statue in Washington D.C., which he captioned, “Love taking trips to D.C.! Can’t wait to go back, ride some scooters to the bar.”
Even though the photo seems nondescript at first, there’s actually something huge in it: David is still wearing a ring on his ring finger that appears to be his wedding band!
“Why u wearing your wedding ring?” wrote user best_mommy_13 on Instagram. User erinstokan65 chimed in, “Still wearing a wedding ring????”
It’s possible that David forgot to take his wedding ring off, or maybe that he’s still pining after Jenelle. It’s also not clear exactly when this picture was taken. But this isn’t the only reason that fans think Jenelle and David might secretly still be together…
