Kailyn Lowry Gushes About Baby Daddy

If there was a crowning for the Will-They-Won’t-They King and Queen of Teen Mom, Kailyn Lowry and Chris Lopez would win by miles. Ever since before Kailyn first got pregnant and refused to reveal Chris’s identity, fans have spent countless hours speculating and questioning who her mystery man was and if there was a future for them.

And now, two years later, the speculation hasn’t stopped. It can get pretty confusing when Kailyn and Chris both seem to have completely different perceptions of their relationship, and fans have a wholly different perception as well.

Now, Kailyn is peeling back the curtain about where their relationship stands, and it’s no surprise that fans aren’t thrilled about the update.

A few months ago, Kailyn Lowry and Leah Messer decided to take a break from it all and go on a month-long family excursion to Hawaii… because their MTV paychecks let them afford that kind of thing. Unsurprisingly, Kailyn decided to invite her baby daddy Chris Lopez, who she seems to always be hoping she’ll get back together with.

Even though Kailyn wasn’t sure whether or not he would show up, her baby daddy decided to come along at the very last minute, which clearly made Kail very happy.

In the episode, Kailyn revealed that she wasn’t even sure if Chris was coming.

“He wasn’t going to come and then next thing I know, he called me when he got to the airport,” she said. “Chris coming was a little bit of a blessing because there was stuff that we were able to do without the baby.”

She added, “Things are fine [with Chris]. We’re getting along.”

Chris recently opened up about the huge regrets he has about Kailyn, so maybe he’s trying to set things straight!

Kailyn took to Twitter to share her take on the turn of events. “I truly believe [Chris] coming to Hawaii was a solid effort on his part,” she shared, implying that her baby daddy’s decision to spend time with her and their son was very meaningful to her. But fans could quickly think of another reason why Chris might have decided to show up.

“Going on a free Hawaiian vacation really shows a lot of thought and effort. What a brave stand up dude!” snarked user SideshowChic on Reddit. User pinkcheetahchrome wrote, “Right. And he played her up until the end. According to Kail she didn’t know if he was actually going, until he ‘just showed up at the airport’.”

“Wow. And I bet she was so excited to see him too,” pointed out user sunset_sunshine30. “It’s pretty sad that she lets him treat her like that.”

User NamasteNamaste ranted,

“Kail is delusional. Chris literally said long before Hawaii that he wanted to start traveling as much as possible after ‘someone’ gave him a birthday trip to Miami.
Chris was using her plain and simple. Even if we are to believe that he paid for his own ticket, there is NO way he would’ve been able to afford a month of lodging and food costs in Hawaii without Kail. The prices of everything are exorbitant.”

Meanwhile, hate from fans is far from the only thing that Kailyn needs to keep an eye out for. She’s also got to be concerned about the potential that her first baby daddy Jo Rivera could take her to court!

“Jo texted,” Kailyn revealed to her friend in a sneak peek for the next episode. “I got the text at like 2:30 in the morning on the Fourth of July. ‘Happy Fourth of July, coming by at 9am to get Isaac, see you soon.’ He knew that I was already in Hawaii because for three days I had been posting it.”

Kailyn explained to Jo that she and her three sons were in Hawaii, but Jo wasn’t having it.

” ‘I asked to have my son today, you agreed to that when you signed the custody agreement. Back to the courtroom, see you there,’ ” she recalled Rivera texting her. “I don’t know if he actually filed for contempt of court.”
