Kailyn Risks Her Son’s Life In This Upsetting Footage
Fans know that a significant amount of Teen Mom scenes are filmed while the stars are driving. Whether it’s chatting with their kids, conversations with the people they’re driving with, or heated phone calls, MTV puts those mounted car cameras to good use.
And, of course, that means that they’re caught doing a lot of controversial things behind the wheel. In fact, the girls are routinely called out for holding their phone for calls or even facetiming while they’re driving, all while their children are in the back seat. But it looks like Kailyn Lowry has taken it up a level.
In this week’s episode of Teen Mom, the girls supplied fans with plenty of examples of bad driving techniques. Kailyn was caught driving without wearing her seatbelt, and Briana DeJesus rode passenger while her ex-boyfriend John drove while holding his phone. But there was another seatbelt-free rider that upset fans even more: Kailyn’s son, Isaac.
Fans were quick to call Kailyn out for this, but she received some surprising defenders!
“You guys are annoying,” wrote one fan on Facebook. “Let there be an unperfect parent. They aren’t your kids!!!”
Another defender wrote, “I understand that it’s unsafe and every child and adult should be in the seatbelt but she knows that she’s on national TV! I’m sure she’s not going to read the comments and care. I’m just pointing out that it’s her kids if she wants to put her kids in danger that’s on her.”
But most other fans weren’t cool with this, and they were quick to speak out about it on reddit.
“There is imperfect parents such those who don’t bother wiping a dummy (pacifier for those in the US) if it falls on the floor before putting it back in your child’s mouth, then there is putting your child’s life in danger 😶” wrote user Lethal_bizzle94 on reddit. User NinjyaGrrl7734 wrote, “ Voluntarily and needlessly endangering your children = imperfect. Well, that’s one word for it. I can think of quite a few more.”
User Ajs1004 pointed out, “Isn’t it the law to have your kids in proper restraints though? I mean technically she could get a ticket for child endangerment.”
Even on reddit, though, Kailyn had some defense. “Lmao gotta love the seat belt police, like none of y’all have ever not worn a seatbelt,” wrote cabaretsmycabernet.
