When Teen Mom stars find new significant others, no matter how perfectly matched they may seem at first, fans know better than to get invested. Much like their poor children who have to see them introduce and dismiss partners over and over again, we’re pretty used to getting invested in a Teen Mom s/o just to watch the star kick them to the curb.
But there are some relationships that just don’t seem like they’ll ever end. Now, one of the longest standing Teen Mom couples is splitting up.

When Jenelle Evans announced her divorce from her extremely controversial husband David Eason, many fans were blindsided. It’s true that fans knew they probably wouldn’t last forever, but not many expected them to break up after only a few years of marriage.
Don’t get us wrong though — most fans were relieved that the couple split up. After David Eason was fired from MTV for his homophobic remarks and Jenelle was later cut off after David shot their family dog, Nugget, it’s no wonder that David wasn’t exactly a fan favorite. And that’s not even to mention the way that he treated Jenelle, both on-camera and in off-camera rumors and speculation.
