It’s not rare for the cast members of Teen Mom to get into hot water after a controversial decision. Whether it’s getting in fights with their baby daddies or choosing unpopular ways to raise their children, the girls have had to grow a thick skin when it comes to criticism. But there’s one thing that everyone can agree is horrible: animal abuse.
When this Teen Mom cast member shared an update, she probably had no idea how upsetting it would be to many fans. Now viewers are lashing out after she revealed how much her dog is suffering!

The cast of Teen Mom seem to be dog lovers across the board. It’s not uncommon to see dogs running in and out of the cast member’s homes or for the girls to share cute pictures of them on social media. That also means that fans are going to be very attentive of the way the girls treat their furry friends, and many of the girls have gotten into hot water for being less than perfect dog moms. Now one cast member has revealed that her dog is suffering in a huge way.
“Guys, my dog Miguel was just hit by a car,” Jade Cline, star of Teen Mom: Young and Pregnant shared on Instagram. She shared a picture of her small chihuahua who is clearly in pain. “He’s hardly 5 lbs, can’t walk and is in horrible pain. I called local vets and no one will see him because I can’t afford the X-rays, meds, and testing. I also did not get approved for credit, so no place will see him. This poor puppy is screaming in his bed and I have no clue what to do. So I just started a Go Fund me account so all you good people out here can help Miguel get treated,” she wrote. “Any amount helps guys!!”

Jade is clearly very distressed about her dog, and many fans were quick to donate and show support for her and her furry friend. But some were less sympathetic, even accusing her of animal abuse.
“Allowing it to suffer is animal abuse and if she can’t afford it she can surrender the dog and it will be treated. This is insane. Someone take that dog off of her,” wrote reddit user JuggsMcTitts. User uknowhochoicesbe wrote, “If you can’t afford pets & all the costs associated with pets, don’t have one. It isn’t fair to the pet.”

“This doesn’t make any sense to me,” wrote user fairiejen. “A vet will see him and send her bill to collections, no? I have a hard time believing all vets in her town are refusing to help. People like this disgust me. Your animal, who is a part of your family, is suffering and you won’t do anything to help her? I would go into debt for my fur baby in an instant.” They added, “She posted a video of the dog screaming in pain! What the hell is wrong with this girl?”
