With wildfires ravaging Australia, many sympathetic and caring people from around the world have started chipping in to donate to relief efforts. Among these people are many celebrities who have started using their platforms to raise awareness and their huge stockpiles of dough to donate.
Now, it looks like Farrah Abraham is joining the ranks… in a pretty unconventional way.

Many of the former Teen Mom stars have dropped out of fame. After all, aside from Mackenzie McKee and Briana DeJesus, who are on Teen Mom OG and Teen Mom 2, the rest of the cast of the short lived Teen Mom 3 are almost never spoken about.
But as for Farrah Abraham, it doesn’t look like she’s fading into obscurity any time soon. From her very public surgeries to her extravagant travel, Farrah makes headline after headline, and is still a very well-known figure.
Now, Farrah is using her platform for good. She’s just revealed that she will be using her face, her voice and her looks to raise money for disaster relief funds in Australia!
“Hey guys. I am so, so honored that I get to donate some of my proceeds on Cameo to the Australian wildfires,” Farrah announced on her Jan. 9 Instagram story. “I love all my friends out there. I have been so happy to see so many performing, like Elton John, donating to the wildfires in Australia.”
She pleaded, “So please book a Cameo with me, as the proceeds are going to the wildfire in Australia. I am so honored to take part of this and help wherever I can, and I get to do that with Cameo.”
“So if you have a daily affirmation that you’d love for me to send your way, or you want me to repeat your New Year’s resolution [or] sing your loved one a song… Or, early Valentine’s day is coming up!” Farrah added.
She signed off, “So, it’s all up to you! Enjoy a Cameo going to a good cause. Thank you!”
Fans were quick to sound off about this on reddit. Many pointed out that Farrah was not very specific just how much of the proceeds would be donated for disaster relief funds.
Many were supportive of Farrah’s announcement. “Eh, ‘some’ is better than none. Charity is charity, go Farrah :)” wrote user seaboard2 on reddit. User killerrrqueen wrote, “Would you rather 0 [of her proceeds would be donated]? Every little helps.”
But others were a lot more cynical.
“When they don’t state what portion is going to a charity, you can probably bet the farm that it’s not a significant portion,” wrote user realltealeaves. User kirakujira chimed in:
“for the people commenting “at least she’s donating something” i don’t disagree, but i’m also in support of holding celebs accountable / pressuring them to do more bc they can do more (donate more) than average people. esp if you’re gonna be using this crisis to boost your reputation – we should be asking/pressuring celebs as well as large corporations to donate and do more than the minimum.”
What do you think about Farrah’s donations?
