But Farrah voiced concern for the show as well. “The ratings have slumped to the lowest they’ve ever been,” she claimed. “That really hurts me because I started that and I would never want it to be in that position.”
“The ratings dropped since we’re not on the show,” Farrah said. She said, “I think if there’s a fifth wall which I can create in creative for ‘Teen Mom,’ I’m open to come back because I love new things challenging and developing.” She added, “But I don’t even know if ‘Teen Mom’ got picked up for a new season.”
She did, however, say, “I’m not sharing a cast with newbies when I’m an OG.”
But she insisted that there are parts of the fame she wasn’t into. “I don’t need the whole sensationalized celebrity moms vibe,” she said.
Some fans agreed that the difference in the Teen Mom image is what’s driving them away. “Ratings dropped because all they do is go on vacation and do rich people stuff,” wrote reddit user castlesandcrumpets. “The viewers wanted to see what life was like for teen moms. So of course most of us have stopped watching.”
User Brianas-Living-Room chimed in, “Not only rich ppl stuff but it’s repetitive. How many seasons have we scene Maci sigh and moan in a monotone voice about Rhine? How many seasons have we heard adoption, carly, anxiety, rehab? How many seasons have we seen gary and kristina sit at a table somewhere and start a conversation on how amber doesn’t see leah? It’s the same sh*t over and over.”
