A full recovery?
Leah Messer has dealt with some drama and heartbreak in her Teen Mom career, but it’s easy to see that she does what she can to put her family first.
Her daughter, Ali, suffers from Titin Muscular Dystrophy, but that doesn’t stop Leah and her family from getting active however they can. Now it seems like Ali may have experienced a pretty surprising recovery, if these photos indicate anything!

Ali’s Condition

For any fans who aren’t familiar or aware, Leah Messer’s daughter, Ali, suffers from a condition known as Tintin Muscular Dystrophy. According to the Joshua Frase Foundation, the condition is “a muscle disorder where muscle cells break down. Dystrophies generally result in weakness that gets worse over time.”
However, Leah is determined to not let this hold her back. In an earlier episode, she said, “No matter what, I may never see the decline that they see. I guess I’ll handle that when it comes you know? It made it hard at 17, knowing something’s wrong with this baby that you love so f**king much.”
Staying Active

Despite struggling with this condition, Leah and her family seem determined to stay active with Ali, who seems to be making wonderful progress.
In May, she posted this picture of Ali playing ball with her twin sister Aleeah with the emotional caption: “This pic is for those of you who prayed that Ali would walk. She played t-ball last season and softball this season. #prayerworks #aligrace #determination ?”
