Fans are worried!
Right now, Chelsea Houska has a lot to be excited about. After marrying her second baby daddy Cole DeBoer and welcoming their first child Watson into the world, Chelsea has recently announced that she’s pregnant for the third time! As she waits to meet her adorable little girl, Chelsea is sharing many exciting updates about her pregnancy with fans.
But the truth is, parenting and being a reality star isn’t always easy, and Chelsea has faced some struggles as well. Could Chelsea’s recent decision be placing her family in even more danger?
With ratings in the millions for every episode, it’s obvious there’s a huge amount of people who tune in to Teen Mom every week. Even though most of those people just like to watch for the laughs, the drama, and the feel-good moments, with numbers that high, there are bound to be some dangerous people tuning in. Unfortunately, this means that the cast members could be exposed to stalkers more than the average person.
Chelsea Houska recently had a very scary experience which proved this. She shared with fans that a man stalked her to her home and showed up uninvited!
A vlogger named Aaryn Williams recently made a post about needing privacy among her fans in order to prioritize her safety. Chelsea Houska chimed in with what can happen when that privacy isn’t respected.
“I recently had a grown man come to my door, in the middle of the day when I was home alone with both kids, asking for a picture,” Chelsea tweeted. “Keep as much private as you feel you need to girl. I do not blame you!”
Chelsea went on to add: “I was very uncomfortable and said I didn’t want to take a photo. Aubree was scared. I think he was harmless, but it’s just the fact that a man would do that. My husband came home from work early…it was just an all around uncomfortable situation. I was scared to even tweet about it at first but I think he was from different state. Idk I get the creeps thinking about it!”
Fans were quick to suggest that she increase the security measures on her home. “You really should look at all options for safety measures,” wrote Twitter user @jnetw5683. User @jlovingmcclure wrote, “Oh Chelsea- that’s serious. You should get some security advise now that you are in the public eye! you have a beautiful family- please stay safe.”
It wasn’t long before Chelsea did just that! “We got our ring doorbells installed and I think Cole is going to have a panic attack at work,” she tweeted, attaching this image of the updates. “Probably should let him know when me and the kids are out front from now on ”
It’s no doubt a good thing that Chelsea increased her security. But many fans are concerned that sharing this information could actually be putting her family more at risk.
“Unwise to share,” wrote reddit user teainjuly. “If someone were to be planning a break in/do some creepy shit they would be able to research her alarm system and find ways around it more efficiently.” User wheniwasayoungboy_ wrote “If she’s so worried about security why would she post what system she has?” User mrsjacktripper agreed, “Doesn’t it defeat the purpose of being discrete with security by publicizing what you did to upgrade your home security?”
