Kailyn spilled the news in a partnership with a company called Peanut.
“We’re confirming the news, baby #4 is coming soon! 🎉” she shared.
She went on:
“I’m almost 16 weeks pregnant & it’s been a rough few months this time around. I’ve had nausea, morning sickness, and absolutely no energy. 😭 This week I’m starting to feel a bit better and I’m really hoping it stays this way!🤰🏻@Peanut has been an amazing support for me since I found out I was pregnant again. Going through nausea and morning sickness while trying to keep the news a secret can be quite isolating. There are so many helpful threads on the app from other women who have been through it too. It’s always reassuring to know you’re not alone. Whether you’re already a mom, pregnant, or trying to conceive, I really recommend you join the @peanut community. It’s an amazing space to build friendships, find support and learn from other women at a similar stage in life. There’s nothing like support from other women to get you through. ❤ #Peanutapp.”
Now, fans and experts are trying to break down exactly how much money Kailyn made from this post!
Although it’s safe to assume that Kailyn may have made a little more than an average joe, Influencer Marketing Hub’s Instagram Money Calculator estimates that Kailyn only made $7,776-$13,100 from her announcement.
However, experts at Vox estimates that she may have made quite a bit more. “Influencers with up to 1 million followers can get $10,000 [per post], depending on the platform, and 1 million followers and up, you’re getting into territory where they can charge $100,000,” the outlet reports. “Some can even get $250,000 for a post! Especially if the content is on Youtube and the influencer is in the gaming industry.”
It’s pretty unlikely that Kailyn got anywhere near $100,000, but it’s safe to say she made a good chunk of change. Meanwhile, fans discussed the ethics of paid pregnancy announcements on reddit.
“I’m surprised Kail took such a low bid tbh; really says where her financial situation is at that she announced for $10k on Instagram and not a higher price through some tabloid source,” wrote retroverted_uterus.
User Lalablacksheep646 wrote, “I doubt this is how she announced it to her close friends or whatever so I don’t see what the big deal is. People act like this is how her boys found out or something.”
